Nick Calandra writes: "Submerged sounds like a rather ambitious game, featuring a persistent online world where 16 different players will fight for the last remaining resources under the sea. There are no teams in the game either, so the developer made it a point to note there will be massive battles in the game, as all 16 players will be fighting for the same resources. Other players won't be the only threat though as the sea will be littered with deadly plants and other creatures."
Marcus Estrada writes: "Every month Kickstarter is full of wild successes, and depressing failures. While some are always going to have that massive fan push behind them to see hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding others barely make it to the finish line. Due to the nature of Kickstarter, there’s simply not enough money to go around to fund every worthwhile campaign. The purpose of this post is to shine a light on those campaigns that had the chops for success, but for one reason or another failed to make their goal this time. Given campaign restructuring, additional social media pushes, and more they might make it in the future! Of course, anyone who has browsed through Kickstarter pages recognizes that many projects simply don’t have any effort put into them."
Greg Micek writes: "Every week we take a brief look at all of the Kickstarter campaigns that launched in the previous week. This isn't to say that all of these projects are worth your hard earned cash, but with any luck having all of them in one place will make it easier to educate yourself on the projects you'd like to back, and which ones to run from. This week there were 34 to choose from."
"Post-apocalyptic video games are rarely serene. Thugs want to kill you, mutants want to eat you, and irradiated fauna wants to chew on your bones. Sometimes there are zombies. Video games rely on these conflicts to keep ladling us with gratification, but Submerged is a post-apocalyptic game where nothing kills or even chases you. You literally can’t die in Submerged."
