VGChartz writes: "Dragon Quest V sold over 150,000 units this week. Powerful Pro Baseball 15 sold 130,000 between PS2 & Wii - however thats down from 200,000 units on PS2 & Wii last year. Hardware and software sales are down overall from last week, but still strong.
The games in the preliminary data this week fall into two categories: low sales compared to previous weeks or iterations, or strange re-entries into the top twenty. Dragon Quest V and Gundam Battle Universe, the top sellers last week, saw large drops. Powerful Pro Baseball 15 sold worse on both PS2 and Wii compared to last year.
-DS sold over 240,000 units of software this week in the top twenty, a 500,000+ drop in software sales that coincides with the amazing drops the DQ series has in Japan.
-Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 accounted for only four of the top twenty titles this week in the preliminary data (more on this below).
-A quick look at game prices in Japan reveals that a significant number of titles saw price drops, which is probably why games like Nights returned and managed to push out some of the constant sellers in this sample.
