EA will report $111m loss, say analysts

Gamesindustry.biz report's: EA will report a loss of USD 111 million, or USD 0.33 cents per share, compared to a loss of USD 132 million, or USD 0.42 cents per share, last year, for the quarter ended June 30, according to a poll of analysts by Thomson Financial.

Their inability so far to buy out Take two to cover their *ss with gta sales probably didnt help neither . Anyway , it's good news :p

111 mill is nothing in loses when ur talking about a multi billion dollar corporation like EA! they wipe their ass with that every day!
all they would have to do is fire like 100 executives to make that money back... not that big of a deal.. bell just fired 2500 execs and they saved 330 million... also Ford/chevy/dodge are all losing BILLIONS of dollars every quarter at the moment so yea 111 mill isnt nothing

I haven't bought an EA game in years. I had high hopes for The Orange Box but those hopes were dashed after it received poor reviews due to EA's sloppy development. They won't be making any money off me anytime soon.

If I remember correctly, the PS3 version of Mirror's Edge is the lead. That makes it highly unlikely that it will have similar problems to the Orange Box port because, well, it won't be a port.
