Doesn't this feel odd to anyone else? - It feels more like a "Let's use this news to drive up future sales of our games! / Get our games noticed!" (Which is disgusting).

The game is taken down to a few cents, while all the proceeds from the sale are being donated to cancer research. How's that disgusting?

Hello Hiro193, where did you read that the proceeds were going toward cancer research?

Edit: Found it: https://twitter.com/Sycorax...

"If free is not allowed, any money made from those sales (even though it will likely be next to nothing) will go to cancer research."

Good find, Hiro.

I stand corrected, But that's information that should've been there instead of hidden away - From my perspective it was "Iwata has passed, Let's get our game some exposure!" when in reality it's "Iwata has passed, Let's get our game some exposure BUT help a good cause at the same time" which is better but still not great.

* If it was to honor, it would be free.

Anything else it taking advantage of people's emotions.

Money raised is towards cancer research so giving it away for free would be kinda pointless don't you think.

Odd? Feels pretty damn repugnant to me.

If it were even possible to hold a "sale" to honor Iwata's legacy, it could only ever come from Nintendo and only ever be composed of Iwata's games.

Some random Indy developer trying to push their schlock by attaching themselves to this tragedy is pretty goddamn unconscionable.

Nothing says respect and honor like a flash sale.

11 cents is a pretty good price for anything

LazerShark948d ago

I know he is basically giving the game away for free, but this is still in poor taste.

What he should have done, is had it on sale for $1, and said that all proceeds go to some cancer fighting charity.

I would actually buy it at that point.

Hiro193948d ago

You know they're giving the money made to cancer research, right?

LazerShark947d ago

I did not. That's great, buying the game.

Thank you based 4 Corner.
