Until Dawn: The Most Self-Aware Horror Game Ever?

Lucy O'Brien writes "30 years ago, you’d be hard pressed to find a horror movie that didn’t focus on attractive teenagers getting cut up into little pieces as punishment for their rebellious attitudes and sexual proclivities. Though the slasher film in earnest eventually ran out of steam at the end of the ‘80s, it’s since found success in throwbacks and parodies; affectionate nods to a time when jocks were jocks, nerds were nerds, and everyone desired the pretty blond cheerleader."

The story is too old to be commented.

I can't wait for the game. The only problem I have is that it comes out like a day or two before MGSV, and I know that once it drops MGSV will be living in my PS4 for the rest of the year. Well maybe until Fallout 4!

I'll be picking this up for me a the wife to play through together. I think this would be an ideal game to watch a playthrough or two.

@ArchangelMike

No Mad Max or Just Cause 3?

I'm still debating if I really want to buy MGSV and Mad Max on the same day . . . 2 open world games on the same day.

@ArchangelMike
I think the shortest is in the UK and it's 4 days from Friday to Tuesday

I'm really stoked for this game.

Was really looking forward to this game, it had so much promise but the cheese factor has definitely turned me right off. Can't understand when people get a kick & enjoy cringing. Still we don't know all that much so maybe there's a surprise in it somewhere.

If you don't like 80's horror movies then chances are you won't like this. I grew up on Elm Street and Friday the 13th movies so I can't wait.

I believe that they made it cheesy on purpose.

It's in the vein of 80s and 90s horror movies so it's cheesy on purpose :)
