This game has gotten so much hype and attention the only place left for it to go is down. Thanks to the media and you dongs trumping it up and boasting about all the things you "THINK" it can do but simply don't "KNOW" what you can and can't do.

For all we know you have very little freedom and you all think we can just make what ever game you want and you can't. You can only make games up and down and side to side and they're all tied to the overall theme of Little big planet. You can't recreate a mario game and you can't recreate half the stuff you all think you can.

I see this being played a lot for 1 to 2 weeks and then everyone moving on saying, it was neat but it lacked in so and so area. Wait and see.

Maybe the reason it has got so much hype and attention is because it actually _is_ a great game? All the levels we have seen, which have been quite varied, have been made with the game. People have had so much hands on time with the game and they still say it's great.

On topic, i say NO. Youtube is for any tom, d!ck and harry who has anything from a video cam, cell phone with cam, digicams to a scanner with which he/she can just upload picture/video to youtube. It does not require tedious level designing method nor requires you to own a ps3, that too not bought for watching movies.

i believe it will be a typical niche product with sales of less than million and will be forgotten in 2 weeks.

I'm concerned that all the focus is on making levels.

The fact is, that for nearly everyone, making levels is a thrill that will wear off quickly. I also think that the enjoyment of playing disconnected user-made levels will be short lived.

If, say Portal, had ten thousand user-made downloadable levels, would I still be playing them? No, no I wouldn't.

LBP needs a killer single player adventure, or it will fail. The average gamer isn't looking for a YouTube.

I know what you mean but when you consider that those ten thousand levels filter down into a top 100 and most of those top 100 have an online scoreboard to compete in...

There is alot of 'In theory' with LBP and it will be interesting to see how it pans out because we live in a drug-addict style world where people absorb stuff and move on at such a rate that nothing can be savored anymore before being discarded for the latest quick hit toy and that is a shame. Maybe the latest Pixar film's view of the future is not so far off afterall.....

I think me personally, I'm going to wait awhile before picking this tittle up, just cause I don't want to go out, buy it day 1, beat the single player aspect, go online and there's no maps or they're just mediocre creations. So I think for my benefit I'll wait a month or a couple maybe even wait till January to pick it up cause by then online will be packed with quality user created content and amazing stuff, that way I get the most bang for the buck.

Actually as soon as we get the game, there will already be user generated contents online. The beta is going on right now in Europe, and those levels will be available online as soon as we get the game. Even the developers stated that they was amaze by several levels that the beta user created.

i kinda agree with you, i can see LBP more as a game that will be short lived and probably will get played out in the long run , kinda like a FAD. but hey LBP will have some modes that say otherwise, not saying im doubting LBP i like it, very innovative, catchy, somehting new to the table
