After disappointing fans and gamers for its no-show at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 last month, game publisher Atlus of the upcoming role-playing game “Persona 5” has leaked, intentionally or otherwise, a full-length trailer of the game on YouTube.

I figured that would be the case. ATLUS has never shifted their stance from their original commitment to release the game in 2015.

I really want this, but I have yet to play a Persona game and also I have want to play P4 at least, should I buy it regardless, should I watch the Anime to get a feel for the universe of Persona?

itsjustexuma922d ago

Watch the anime because the games are not connected so once you play P5 you'll see new characters you've never seen in previous games

RedDevils921d ago

The game is not connect just like the Final Fantasy series, is irrelevant, but the gameplay should be similarity. But I still recommend playing P4 as well, as it a good game that you won't regret

Honestly, they aren't connected, but I'm particularly partial to Persona 4 Golden, so give that a go. It's my favorite in the series and is widely regarded as one of (if not THE) best game(s) on Vita. It's honestly great and, though not connected, you owe it to yourself to give it a go.

P3 and 4 are pretty cheap. Id say get one of them to get used to the type of themes the series has. Other than that, the games have only tiny connections. So tiny you wont even get notice the small references that p4 had to 3 and what p5 might have.

The news I want regarding P5

confirmation that there'll be social link system
confirmation that there'll be more party members than the 4 that have been revealed
confirmation that battle system will be turn based

KryptoniteTail921d ago

If it isn't turn-based then they can kiss the series goodbye. Persona fans aren't as forgiving as Final Fantasy fans, they can't just change genres for the main series.
