Certain games garner such serious emotional reactions in us that it truly brings us to tears. Alex takes some time to reflect on these games.
I can't think of a game that actual made me cry but Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons definitely made me bummed out with how everything went down.
NOt many for me but most recently TLoU made me tear up.. not a full on cry though by any means. lol With that said, I can't wait Journey to 'try' and make me cry like a baby!
First 10 minutes. I had a hard cry-on...
The hospital, too. Man. That.
I'll get drunk first then!
Journey was great, emotionally it was a roundhouse to the Feels
Roundhouse to the feels... I like that. Ima use that next time I get butt hurt.
That goddamn horse in Shadow of the Colossus gets me every time.
The end of Bastion really hit me in the feels. Not that it was "sad", per-se, but it was very moving.
Mgs3 is the only game that really got me at the end
Shadow of the Colossus Spec Ops the Line was truly beautiful
Can't say I've ever cried in a game, but my girlfriend recently cried while playing Ori and the Blind Forest
FF7 Ni No Kuni TLOU but there was a high pollen count those days so....
Fuck I wish I beat ni no kuni. ps3 broke right after I got to ship which was after the 20 hour tutorial of perfection. FF 7 will finally figure out the hype. The Last of Us ending is one that sticks with you regardless o how you felt about it
FF7 - teaches you about transfer of energy, took me something like 100 hrs? Ni No Kuni - had one of the greatest lessons EVER in a video game IMO! In short it's about the Journey (that's all I'll say.) 70 hrs to beat. TLOU I platinumed on the PS3 and is IMO the Greatest game ever. Certainly the most complete, with the amazing Multiplayer. First 10 min of TLOU you become invested in Joel. 100 hrs + to complete both sides of Multiplayer. GOAT
Is Ni No Kuni's ending really as good as the other game's you mentioned ? I just started playing it and even though I dont like alot of the RPGs and very japanese stuff, Im very intrigued by the begining. It explains all the RPG elements well and is very comprehensive so Im willing to go on. Im probably still in the tutorial section of the game (just got out of the woods).
OMG soooo good! (I remember having a "ooohhh now I see" moment at the end. I appreciate life more after Ni No Kuni.) Combat can get complicated with three characters controlling three characters each. The best thing you can do in Ni No Kuni is kill these guys; TokoToko's http://i.ytimg.com/vi/8nF8g... http://www.gamefaqs.com/boa...
Uhh, Teh Walking Dead, anyone? Gears 3.....anyone?
There was one scene in Gears that had an impact, but didn't move me as much as I think it was trying to. I think it was when you found the wife of your partner in one of those capsules... I can't remember though.
I honestly didnt even wet my eyes in agros case, infact I almost felt joy. I grew into disliking him during the game (either that or I blamed all the minor mess/glitch ups on him). But rest of the ending was all very emotional (except for one or two thing that kinda confused probably most of the people) After playing through SotC I went to Ico and found its story to be a bit more emotional and the ending sequence was much more tear inducing to me than SotC's. Journey was emotional but I didnt (almost) cry until I had played through the game for the first time in coop with an amazing partner. The last thing that sealed it all was when he/she drew a heart in the snow just before you are supposed to pass through the valey. Best coop experience ever. Also! I thought a game called Monument Valey (played on the android, its a mobile game) was an interesting game with few emotional parts during the story.
Halo 4 for me. That ending gave me the feels as well
Yeah, Journey was that game for me. I didn't cry, but I was seriously in awe upon completion. When it was all said and done, I felt so content that I just stared at my screen with a lazy smile for a while.
I loved Journey and need a Vita version. The only game to make me cry was The Walking Dead though. They are masters, they made me, a guy who laughed at gamers who cry from scenes like Aerith's death, cry. They made me into a hypocrite.
Journey, TLOU, SotC, Flower, Crisis Core, Brothers, Gone Home, To the Moon, TWD Seasons 1 & 2, and a few others had a deep emotional impact on me while playing.
The end of The Walking Dead season 1 and maybe a bit of TWD Season 2. I can't think of anything else that nearly made me tear up, well the beginning of The Last of Us.
