Bloodborne....obviously or maybe a spiritual sequel like what Bloodborne was to Demons Souls. Maybe a game like them set in modern times, the future, steampunk etc.
The Order 1886 was decent, I don't care what anyone says. It had flaws, it did, there's no getting past that but for what it was, a new story driven IP which was Ready at Dawns first console game it was alright....no 4/10 material.
Shadow of Mordor 2 would be good but they'll have to give the game for variation and a bigger map with more things to do. I would like to see them set it after Lord of the Rings and have a new threat instead of Sauron....mainly because knowing how it ends means they can't surprised us within the game. We pretty much all knew Sauron wasn't going to be defeated.
I suppose they could make a new game set after the film with Gimli, Legolas and Aragorn. See them continue their adventures, how Aragorn leads and maybe see Gimli and Legolas clean up the orcs still scattered about from Saurons defeat. I don't know, just spitballing here.
Bloodborne for sure. Amazing game and I cant wait for the DLC. I still dont know if *SPOILER ALERT* it was all just a dream. Also, my character turned into a slug at the end of it which makes absolutely NO SENSE...unless I am one of the Great Falafels or whatever they are...*SPOILER END
The Order: 1886 was cack but somehow still has potential if they *SPOILER ALERT* include the vampires in the game, have actual proper gameplay and take some bold narrative steps. Now that you're out of Order (hehe) it'll be cool to play a rebel, gathering up members like in Mass Effect 2. Mind you, I have lost almost all confidence in RAD and Pessino.
"which was Ready at Dawns first console game it was alright"
Ugh no. Completely disagree and I don't care if it was their first console game.
Sunset OD needs a sequel. I just completed it and that game is just so much fun. Gonna 100% complete it but there is a lot of scope for growth in the IP.
Titanfall 2- its happening and it needs to. Titanfall is incredible but still feels like a template for something greater. A proper campaign, with more game modes, more customisations on your titans and variety of them and more weapons are needed. Mind you, one of the reasons why Titanfall is one of the most well balanced FPS's in years is probably because it trims a lot of the fat off of it.
The AI need to stay but need to be completely distinguishable from the pilots in terms of aesthetics. True players know, that's what the real issue is, not their relative intelligence (or lack thereof).
The collectables were easily the funnest part of the game for me, when you chain together about 5-6 without stopping, or looking at the map, it feels pretty rewarding.
wasn't hard to be one of the best games of last year as pretty much everything was awful last year with exception to DA:I and even that was nothing special yet it won GOTY multiple times... If those 2 came out this year they would be Average compared to Bloodborne, Witcher 3 and Batman.
There were plenty of fantastic games last year, DA:I, Wolfenstein New Order, DKC Tropical Freeze, Smash Bros, Dark Souls 2, Alien Isolation, Far Cry 4, Shadow Of Mordor, Pre-Sequel, Shovel Knight, Transistor, Bayonetta 2, Hearthstone, Mario Kart 8, Divinity Original Sin, Wasteland 2, Child Of Light, inFamous Second Son, PT, Banner Saga, and a few other interesting games. That's a pretty good year, don't really understand this "2014 was so bad" nonsense. To actually answer the question Alien Isolation, Shadow Of Mordor, Wolfenstein and shovel Knight are some from 2014 I would like to see a sequel from.
There definitely is room for improvement in the IP. It didn't live up to the hype but I can see a lot of potential there, especially with an Assassin's Creed cross-over
I'm playing Gravity Rush right now for the first time, and it's really fun. I've had it ready to download for so long I had forgotten to ever get around to it(huge backlog obviously lol).
But yes, whatever system they make it for I will buy it on. Great game to play in between grinding sessions on a JRPG for me.
Shadow of Mordor hands down. Evil within 2 I would like to see a sequel to. It was a good game that can be great with one more turn at the wheel I feel.
The Order has everything it needs to be balls deep excellent, keep the cinematics even. Just give the players MORE. More to shoot, more interactivity, more story, more set pieces, more post game content (in game, no DLC) AND a hefty post launch DLC roll-out. Oh and character customization's. Lords of the Fallen Id like to see a sequel to also.
I love the combination of graphic design and game mechanics. I know Bloodborne was the golden child, but it was Lords that brought me into the fold. It had its own flavor and I think it has an audience.
Open worlds games are a hit or miss type of situation and none where made an impression upon me except for the exceptional Shadows of Mordor.
I could say Watch Dogs, but the list of what needs fixing there in my opinion is vast, same goes for Dying light. Other than cool parkour I was left unimpressed. Well, I don't want to deviated to much so I think Ill end it here.
The Order deserves one, preferably by a different developer with more experience in the AAA console title business. [email protected] could do a sequel, but they don't have the resources, from the sound of things.
Bloodborne. With that said, everytime Miyazaki does something new, it's just as good. So, I never know if I want him doing a sequel or a new IP...just more.
DS3 will be the 1st sequel he actually directs in the souls genre.
I just finished The Order and absolutely loved it. Definitely must have a sequel!!! Felt like I was playing a game by Naughty Dog. Only complaint is it should've been a little longer.

Shadow of Mordor would be great.
Watch_dogs got a lot of stick, but I liked it. Looking forward to WD2.
