The 2008 version of the Electronic Entertainment Expo was a unique experience unlike any of the previous years. Even the reorganized and scaled down E3 of 2007 wasn't quite the same as this year's small and largely uneventful show. And though gaming enthusiasts and the media both complained that nothing happened at the show, some of 2008's most anticipated games were in attendance. Can anyone really scoff at being shown Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Gears of War 2, Fable II, Fallout 3, Prince of Persia, and Rock Band 2?
Despite its lowest attendance in history (and featuring just over 20 publishers), there were a considerable number of great titles on display. Your faithful IGN Xbox team locked themselves in a room, argued it out, and came up with a list of the very best of the show. Please to enjoy our picks for the best and brightest of E3 2008.
