Batman: Arkham Knight's Best Feature Is Hidden

Richard Drummond of Gaming Tech United writes:

"I'll be the first one to admit that Batman: Arkham Knight hooked me. I was cautiously optimistic when I picked it up, but I fell for it more than I imagined I would. Playing through the game and beating it twice (New Game Plus), I've come to realize that the best part of Arkham Knight isn't a boss fight, or a witty line, it is one that players could theoretically miss entirely."

I love the [Article Spoiler] Evidence Room! It's pretty cool and I love the little bits where they talk about the villains. I would love to see it expanded with DLC possibly. I know the militia has an actual room, so I'd love to see rooms like that on each villain.

NinjaRichParty871d ago

That would be awesome! I don't know how many people would actually dive into it, but it's a cool idea. Like a living encyclopedia of sorts. Between that and actually having the criminals and Most Wanted, GCPD is pretty damn awesome to explore.

GamingChip79871d ago

You might be right, but I think that it could be something fun for those who do like that sort of thing. I guess that might be asking for too much in DLC though. I know you have to cater to your general audience more and I don't think the mass audience wants that. Haha.

@GC

Yeah. I'm very excited for the Batgirl story DLC. I'm halfway tempted to pick up the Season pass. I'm not big on them, but I really like what this game is bringing to the table and I'll be buying the three story DLC's.

@RDR

I am too. Idk that I'll pick up the season pass, but I am kind of pumped to see what RS is working on for us. I want that damn Batman Beyond suit too! Haha.

Love the evidence room. Explains why he doesn't wear the shock gloves and the gives thr proper pronunciation of Ra's al Ghul.

ShinMaster870d ago (Edited 870d ago )

It's not that hidden.

It's one of the first places I went to in the beginning of the game when you first get to GCPD.

It's awesome. But it's not the game's best feature.

You say that people only doing the main story would miss this, but you have to go in there to get the Electricity Gun for the main story.

NinjaRichParty870d ago (Edited 870d ago )

I guess I mean more in the sense of not taking it in. Just running in, grabbing the Electric Charge Gun, and then heading out.

This isn't a room that you do justice by giving it a quick scan and heading out. It's a pretty neat room that you should devote a larger amount of time to.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Haha.

KindaGrump870d ago

Yeah I think you need it for to spark a generator late in the game. Probably need it sooner than that, but it's escaping me.

I agree with RDR that it's a room that needs to be taken time in and appreciated though. It's a pretty fun time going through and listening to it all.

NinjaRichParty870d ago

Yeah, sorry about the confusion guys. Haha. I guess I didn't get my message across as eloquently as I thought I did. I updated the article to reflect what I meant more directly. :)

KindaGrump870d ago (Edited 870d ago )

Hell yeah. I love the Evidence Room. Like Wedge said, you do need it for the story I think, but you don't get the full effect from just jumping in there. I loved taking my time and going from piece to piece hearing what the game had to say about them. I thought it was really neat.

It seems there's a lot of hidden details all throughout the game like this. I love that in open world games.

NinjaRichParty870d ago

I totally agree! It always seems that Rocksteady puts. A big amount of detail into this sort of stuff too. I doubt many people have really spent the time on combing through it all. Personally, I totally enjoyed it and I hope other people thought it was neat too.
