They say that the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn’t exist. Well, the greatest trick Sony have pulled might will be getting people to forget that their fall line-up doesn’t exist.
So, this journalist thinks that Sony's E3 was misdirection because "they didn’t announce anything that can fill that Uncharted 4 shaped hole in the fall line up"? What a joke. Let's forget about all the games coming up till the end of the year (that people forget about because they are not dudebro games) Also funny how easy people forget that a year has 12 months, some people only seem to be interested in the holiday months. Give people what they want and they'll buy your products. There is a reason why people at Sony conferences cheer the way they do, unlike other conferences where the people applauding are staff people.
"Let's forget about all the games coming up till the end of the year (that people forget about because they are not dudebro games)" In these articles they forget about the niche games because some people just don't care about them. That's probably why they're not mentioned. Not every single PlayStation or Xbox fan cares for for all the games on their favorite console, believe it or not. If a particular gamer is excited for say lots of JRPG's, then game on but you can't push someones said interest's on to another gamers especially if said gamer is dead set on the type of games he or she is interested in on the same favorite console. that's why certain gamers glance over certain games. But luckily PS4 has such a diverse library. RIME, Everybody's Gone To Rapture, Tomorrow Children, Terraway, Until Dawn etc. So there's something for everybody regardless.
That's very true. But the problem is these are journalists, who are supposed to be showing the full story but often in these articles the niche, yet highly anticipated, games are never mentioned because they are not comparable to the likes of halo, forza, gears, uncharted and tomb raider. So I can see how people get fed up when they have exclusive games they are really looking forward to yet news sites brush over those games.
For f#@k sakes... Sony's e3 conference fool me... I actually believed them and their 3rd party partners that games like mgs5, fallout 4,black ops 3, uncharted trilogy and star wars battle front was also coming out on the ps4 this fall................
@xHeavYx "What a joke. Let's forget about all the games coming up till the end of the year (that people forget about because they are not dudebro games)" so tell us, what games are they with actual release dates? and why is it that every time sony gets called out for something the main supporters seem like their best defence is to simply attack the competition without really answering the question? i don't think forza 6, fable legends and tomb raider are dudebro games if that is supposed to be an attack on the xbox one's main games coming this year. "Also funny how easy people forget that a year has 12 months, some people only seem to be interested in the holiday months." when the majority of interest and sales occur during this time of course the focus will be more on that timeline. yes we can all agree microsoft does not spread out its big games as much as they should but again you're not answering anything, just deflecting the situation of the ps4's line-up for the rest of the year. "Give people what they want and they'll buy your products. There is a reason why people at Sony conferences cheer the way they do, unlike other conferences where the people applauding are staff people." this is the magic sony has on its fans. even jack tretton said they have the most diehard fans. he knows sony fans will be on the forums daily supporting them at all costs. they constantly feed these dangling carrots and the fans eat it up. they keep promising to wait for greatness year after year and to be fair they do deliver in the end. it just takes time and in the meantime critics will call them out for it if things get delayed, it's their job. this especially happens when you are at the top, expectations grow. this is why sony should just brush it off because at the end of the day sales speak for themselves. HOWEVER the fans should not be acting this way. sales do not put money in their pocket so it should be their job to want more, not defend sony's decision to just let indie games and third party games carry them through. they should expect more than that and not have an instant reaction to downplay the competition. how does that make your ps4 experience better?
Not every player cares about Call of Duty or Halo either though.
"They say that the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn’t exist. Well, the greatest trick Sony have pulled might well be getting people to forget that their fall line-up doesn’t exist either." I have been saying this all along and couldn't agree more. There are so many exclusive games releasing on Xbox One in the next 12-18 months, but where are the PS4 exclusives? Pushed, pushed and pushed. The inevitably we get the "but we have indies". Yes you, but vast majority of us do not care about obscure and simple games.
@donthate .....and I'm guessing the greatest trick Microsoft ever pulled was making you guys forget the other 10 months in the year don't exist.... You spit more BS than Aussie dude You claim MS has a lot of exclusives coming in the next 12 to 18 months but Sony has none???? What.....you sound like a shortsided, narrowminded Dingus ......and a hypocrite. Uncharted 4, tearaway unfolded, persona 5, street fighter 5, ratchet and clank, dragon quest, rime, no mans sky, the last guardian, horizon, disgeae 5, the Nathan drake collection, until dawn, ....oh who am I kidding your pathetic, and the list only gets bigger. Also you claim that you don't care about obscure indie games yet I'm willing to bet you'll make a mean list of ori, gigantic and below won't you??
* Horizon: Zero Dawn * Shenmue 3 * The Last Guardian * Uncharted 4 * Street Fighter 5 * Ratchet & Clank * World of Final Fantasy * Dreams * Devolver Digital games * Persona 5 * Final Fantasy 7 Remake None of these PS4 games were confirmed to be coming to Xbox One. I expect fanboys to move the goalpost and try to define what games count and which don't by calling them "niche" among other things. Also, there are plenty of third-party and multiplatform games coming out this fall. The PS4 is not limited to only playing first-party games only.
"In these articles they forget about the niche games because some people just don't care about them." And some people just don't care about Halo, Forza, Fable, Gears, or Tomb Raider. Hell, some people just don't care about Uncharted, God of War, Killzone, or inFamous. Some people only care about Disgaea and Persona. The difference, as I see it, is that the Xbox crowd- here, anyway- only wants to consider certain games or types of games, while the PS crowd- here, anyway- will take into consideration every possible game and game type. I'm not telling anybody they have to be interested in any particular game. I don't think I've seen any PlayStation fan do that. What I DO see, however- and what I agree with- is people saying you can't count out games just because you're not interested. Example: At best, the only game I'm even mildly interested in that's coming to XB1 this fall is Tomb Raider; does that mean everything else ceases to exist? Should my list of notable games for XB1 have ONLY TR on it? That'd be silly, right? Unless they really are just a fanboy, NO ONE should be discounting games simply because they're not interested. I don't ignore Until Dawn because horror games scare the crap out of me; I just won't play it. It still exists. It's still relevant to the people that want to play it. There's no way in hell a gaming "journalist" should do any less.
Also two years in a row the PS4 proved that its strong push of Third Party games is mainly responsible for moving millions of units during the holidays and not the exclusives. Exclusives are well distributed throughout the non-holiday season months which keeps the hungry PlayStation Nation well fed and keeps the hardware sales moving. Sony knows well to keep the First Party and Third Party games from competing with each other during the holidays. This is a very obvious, elementary and no top secret historical fact.
Aaaaaand bingo my friend, I don't want a lame ass rebuttal as to why it wasn't exciting, I don't wanna here crap like "well its not releasing this year" or pathetic overexaggerating like @donthate claiming the games won't be available until 4 years down the line. I got more than what I wanted out of the conference and much of it was 2016 like uncharted 4, horizon, and the last guardian...... I've never seen such hard downplaying......its pathetic.
Ok mister writer I'll just sale my PS4 for an X1 system with 3 franchises I care nothing for (halo, forza, and fable). If they were releasing Quantum Break this fall I'd happily purchase the system but for now I'll just stick with my PS4, and Wii U.
This will end well... and so the dreadful dance begins again.
Lol, Final Fantasy VII Remake was the most hyped I've ever been for an announcement. I don't care if they didn't announce a release date, just knowing it's being made is more than enough.
I just sat there with my jaw dropped for the entire announcement, I could have cried I was so happy xD I'm really excited to see what they do with it to bring it up to today's standards. I'll tell you one thing, I don't envy them that job. All eyes are on nomura and his team now.
I know ..., its a fn joke how people carry on about a piece of plastic .
Hence the misdirection article.
Nice article, despite the hype and nostalgia generated by the TLG and FF7 and Shammue announcement, the conference sony left much to be desired, they spoke of TV that many criticized in MS but have not seen any criticism against Sony, several mult games and so promises and nothing improvement to PS4. Unlike MS that made announcements of major AAA games for this and next year, not counting the new improvements to the Xbox as news dash, Early Access, BC, price cut, so yes the conference of MS was better as a whole and notHe left nothing to be desired.
from January 2015 to the right now - what has MS released???.......the answer is nothing. from today, july 6 to sept 14, what is MS releasing?......nothing. MS will bring out forza on sept. 15....halo5 on oct27 and tomb raider in December as far as new content. and, all 3 were known to be coming before E3 - so, MS didn't announce anything new for this year at E3 and they won't be releasing anything new for the first 8 months of this year. the x1 isn't bringing as much this year as you make it out to be. seriously....the first 8 months of the year and the x1 has nothing released? crazy.
You to brag about Bloodborne but'll tell you it was the only game well received PS since the launch the console or Xbox is gaining in quantity and quality already that most of the games already released healthful better than Knack, Drive C., The order, Killzone among others ... Not to mention that at the end of the year the MS will compensate with large AAA and the beginning of next, different from sony that so will release remasters and niche games for this year.
@Nucky I don't agree with @Nosred but to answer your question. Ori And The Blind Forest, State Of Decay, Screamride, Goat Simulator, Fruit Ninja, IDARB, Pnuema, Funk Of Titans, Massive Chalice, Poolnation FX, NeverWinter and Lifeless Planet. Later this year: Happy Dungeon, World Of Tanks, SMITE, Gigantic, Elite Dangerous, Beyond Eyes, Rare Replay, Gears remaster. I know your statement is out of anger but its still completely false nonetheless.
@AngelicIceDiamond: All of those aside from Screamride and State of Decay are downloadable titles.. you know the same type of games that the PS4 has nearly 3 times the amount of and Xbox fans dismiss.. not to mention that screamride and state of decay are downloadable titles that just happened to get a retail release.. If we are going to say Sony isn't releasing anything at the end of the year because niche and downloadables don't count then we should be holding Microsoft to the same standard for November 2014 - September 2015 in which case they have released nothing.
@AngelicIceDiamond Neverwinter and Elite Dangerous are timed exclusives and both are coming to the PS4.
Nosred, why should you care? You don't even have a PS4. You just come on any article that is remotely against PS4/Sony and try to make prove points with such horrific grammar. I personally thought Playstation conference at E3 had mostly what I wanted to see. Uncharted 4, Horizon, TLG were the Big 3 for me and that's what I got.
I can only recall recore and sea of theives as the new games ms announced (well that and gears remaster but we knew that existe). Recore was only a cg trailer so we have no idea what that will be like and sea of theives doesn't look AAA to me. Oh and rare collection. Almost forgot about that. I felt like their best announcement was bc. The mine craft demo was cool though but I don't play mine craft and it used up a lot of time they could have used to announce other stuff. Guess I'll have to wait till gamescom.
I find it amusing how some actually believe that other games don't exist if they aren't released in October, November, and December. The absurd nature of that belief is worthy of ridicule itself, but the games that are scheduled for release by the end of the year are worth discussing more than the absurd notion that 3 months of video game and console sales is more important than 12 months worth of the same. Although many of the following games may be considered to be "niche," they appeal to a broad spectrum of gaming tastes. Games being released from August until the end of the year: Exclusives Until Dawn Deep Down Kill Strain Disgaea 5 Drawn to Death Everybody's Gone to the Rapture The Tomorrow Children Fat Princess Adventures Guns Up! Onechanbara Z2 Chaos Rime Wild Tearaway Unfolded Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Console Exclusives Persona 5 Nobunaga's Ambition Dragon's Quest Heroes Dragon's Dogma Online Enter the Gungeon EverQuest Next Firewatch The Forest The Killing Floor 2 SOMA H-Hour: World's Elite No Man's Sky The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Let's discuss the reality of the situation instead of discussing the opinion of one man with an agenda.
The reality is only uncharted collection is AAA the rest niche! And ucc is half baked as it is. Deep down and wild 100 percent not coming this year! Deep down has been on you ps fans list since 2013 and will still be on it in 2016. Nucky now to september rare replay, gears r, smite just got achievements and world of tanks.
IGiveHugs: "Although many of the following games may be considered to be 'niche,' they appeal to a broad spectrum of gaming tastes." Jetlian: "The reality is only uncharted collection is AAA the rest niche!" Come on, now. Can't be so wrapped up in getting your point out that you don't pay attention to what the person you're responding to said, especially when what was said addresses a major concern raised by your post. A diverse lineup has always been a PS staple. Sales prove its appeal. I can tell you from currently playing it on Steam Early Access, The Forest in alpha build is more fun than many of the AAA's out there and will probably be a better game than many of the ones you're looking forward to.
I have to agree with jetlian on this one, it's a decent list, but is it a hard hitting AAA lineup list? People will of course always have different tastes but for me uncharted collection, Everquest next and no man sky are the only ones that jump out at me on that list. And I am not expecting no man sky or Everquest to come this year, 2016 maybe.
Don't forget there's also this little movie coming out this fall called Star Wars episode VII, and PS4 is well-positioned with marketing rights and exclusive Star Wars content for Battlefront AND Disney Infinity. And the Call of Duty marketing deal. It's not like Sony doesn't have big guns for this fall. Add that to big multiplat AAA games like Fallout 4, the diversity of the list above, other exclusives released this year like Bloodborne, there's plenty of compelling reasons to buy a PS4 this year. @IGiveHugs - You can add Journey to that list, it's been confirmed for July 21st release.
"I find it amusing how some actually believe that other games don't exist if they aren't released in October, November, and December." Sort of how PS fans ignore all of the Xbox One games released in the first 9 months of the year, and pretend MS's holiday lineup represents the whole year.
Lol they talked about tv for like three minutes and the audience loved it
Not a bad Fall schedule to not have any first party Juggernaut either .. Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain. And those are just my personal favorites..!
Yes it was short, not sure about the people loving it when only a small percentage of the US can use PS Vue. For Europeans like me it was a waste of time since it will take years before we will even have it (we still don't have PS Now, is in beta in the UK) and even then, I have cable internet, can't lose the TV subscription from it so why on earth would I even be interested in Vue to begin with? Besides, Sickbeard, Couchpotato and Plex give me everything I want to watch :)
"spoke of TV that many criticized in MS but have not seen any criticism against Sony" They spoke of it for literally two minutes combined with Spotify out of a hour and a half show.
So showing what people wanted to see is a misdirection now? Yes, people wanted to see Shenmue 3, FF7 remake and TLG. Don't even try to put a spin on it.
Who appoves these articles?
And here you are, another trash article. Unbelivable... The quality of N4G is going down the hill. But i guess it's the approvers fault. N4G = News for gamers .. this isn't even "news"...
Did you just join this site yesterday or something? 9/10 articles aren't news, this one is an opinion piece, it's been that way since this site's birth almost a decade ago...
Yes, another opinion piece that copies what other ones did since E3. Nice. Very high quality. I got this one because you get the same thing in 3-4 articles per day, but i could say the same about other ones. It's in here only to show how much the people want to underline "how empty is this fall for PS4 owners". And it's completely fake. What could save the article? If there was something new. Is it there? No, so it's not EVEN news.
i don't like this article. :(
Why is it that all of a sudden, E3 has to be about the last six months of the year? It's especially funny that gamers count the days until E3 every year, eager to hear announcements, even though everyone knows the vast majority of games are announced a year or more before release, and suddenly we hold these press conferences to a standard that goes against everything we're actually hoping to see. There's a reason people were so surprised with Fallout 4's release this year. And ironically, after years of us complaining about these all-important fall games like DriveClub, The Master Chief Collection, Assassin's Creed, and Battlefield 4, which launched as total trainwrecks, some people still just want to complain about Sony having "just niche games", that is if they are at least willing to give Sony enough credit and not play the idiotic "no games" card. There was no more "misdirection" than we get at any other E3. This year, Sony just came with the announcements a lot of us wanted. Now it's just no good because it's "too good to be true", even though it's all true. Sony should have just rushed Uncharted and held off on releasing Bloodborne until the fall. Then we could all fool ourselves into thinking we're getting exactly what we want.* *This year at least. Lots of us used to think releasing games outside of the fall season was a good thing.
> Why is it that all of a sudden, E3 has to be about the last six months of the year? Simple, Because that's the only time the other console gets first party AAA exclusives, so they move the goalposts and claim that's all that's important.
I wouldn't say it was "misdirection" as much as forward looking. Think about what we saw LAST year at Sony's E3. There were a bunch of titles that came out THIS year. The same goes for THIS year. We saw a bunch of titles that will be coming out NEXT year. Whereas, MS chose to revisit some titles that they had shown in the past and that will be released this year. It's really just a difference of philosophies in terms of how they view what E3 is for. The same can be said about AAA release schedules. MS seems to like to load up for the holidays. Sony seems to like to trickle them out throughout the year. Both companies have had major games delayed. Once again...difference in philosophy. The only misdirection I see is this author's need to try to create some BIG difference when there really are only minor differences in the way they see and use the conference.
Microsoft has released no AAA game for the first 7 months of this year and is not releasing any AAA game until September 14 - which means no AAA game for nine months yet the writer of this article talks of misdirection by Sony! The PS4 will have had no less than 4 AAA games during those 9 months and is still yet to release games like 'No Man's Sky', 'Dragon Ouest Heroes', 'Disgaea 5', 'The Tomorrow Children' and many more. Most of these are console exclusives and many are favourites of gamers who have played earlier games in those franchises. In addition, there us the Uncharted Collection coming in October and a remastered God of War 3 in just a fortnight. All this on top of so many multiplats coming during the holidays means only trolls can continue to spread the pure fantasy that Xbone has more games coming out than Sony. Hey, just be glad that your console of choice has games coming and enjoy and leave the PS4 lovers to their games! I own an Xbone as well and I haven't used it at all this year. The only two games I played on it were the MCC Collection and Sunset Overdrive both released last year. This may be news to Xbone lovers but gamers like to play games at all times of the year, not just during the last three or four months. Just because Microsoft wants it that way does not make it universal. Funny how Microsoft last year proudly announced three games that we have yet to see any gameplay for - 'Crackdown', 'Scalebound' and 'Phantom Dust' which I understand has been shelved for now. Over a year later, where are they? I guess there is no misdirection there then.
I partially agree with you, but it still doesn't get Sony off the hook. The games you mentioned for the PS4, some of those aren't exclusives and others most people don't care about. Basically it's like this. Sony's last AAA exclusive game was Bloodborne, and the next one will be Uncharted 4 (a year later)... again, A YEAR later.
Because it was delayed. Because they can do that. Because, as history and sales prove, "most people" will support the console that's able to push back a major release for polishing by relying on a quality, diverse lineup. Edit: To the disagrees, I'm not going to demand you use a bubble replying, but ask yourselves what part of my comment you disagree with. Uncharted being delayed? That Sony is in a position to do it? That history and sales prove most people support the console with a quality, diverse lineup? These aren't controversial statements to anyone who has been paying attention the last 4 gens.
Yup, Bloodborne is niche, the same when you don't like racing games and shooters that they become niche games too. All that's then left is Tombraider which isn't even exclusive. Xbox has no games at all coming out this whole year!!!! See how silly that sounds? Anyways, I don't get all this bickering between fans of these 2 systems, already didn't get it in the Commodore/Atari era. Both systems have awesome games already and more are coming out this year and the next years. If your system of choice releases exclusives (console exclusives, timed exclusives, brand exclusives, whatevs) that you like just enjoy them! When there are more of these exclusives for the Xbox that I like I will even get an Xbox One. Honestly I went with the PS4 since I've had playstations since the PSX, had I went with the X1 instead I would've been in the same boat. So far I don't think the number of titles you can't play on the other isn't big enough yet to own both, that is my opinion and if I had money to burn I wouldn't even care and already would have both, but for now I don't feel it's worth it yet.
Sony's last AAA game was MLB 15 and their next AAA release is Until Dawn NEXT MONTH. Get your bloody facts straight.
Actually sony hasn't released a AAA this given BB is niche. Only gow3r or unc could even be classed as AAA for sony this year. Funny how sony announced uc4, sf5 and wild last year and they won't be out till next year. Its one thing if something gets delayed a few months its another to talk and ask for funding on games 2-3 years away. Tlg should be done given its been 6 years already. Wheres agent at too.
How is BB not AAA? Furthermore, how is it niche when even according to old vgchartz estimates its already outpaced other AAA games like Forza Horizon2, SunsetOverdrive, Ryse, DeadRising3, LBP3, The Order? Not that niche has anything to do with AAA anyways. AAA is high end budget/production/marketing, when a developer gets top dollar invested into their game's production. Whether it sells or not is ancillary
"Funny how sony announced uc4, sf5 and wild last year and they won't be out till next year". Hello! Quantum Break... that being said Lemme correct you, SF5 was never meant to be released on 2015, Uncharted 4 was pushed to 2016 Since UC Trilogy is coming out this Oct and its ND who promises quality and we get a masterpiece so UC fans very much appreciated it.. Actually Funny how you say TLG should be done well most of us are HAPPY that finally its coming. Similarly Phantom dust got cancelled for the time being... So due to problem in both Sony and MS few project dont see the daylight but doesn't mean they should be scrapped off...
Traditionally forza is 3.5+ million seller but for whatever reason on xbo its not getting there. The order, ryse and sunset are all new ips with no series to base them on.lbp as a series has fallen too for whatever reason BB is based on the souls series and its sold at the normal rate. AAA is just budget it also how popular its going to be. If BB was given 200 million it still would never hit 10s of million sold. It would remain were its at. Arijit: i know qb was announced and pushed back i was responding to jayzen. Even still they had atleast started production. Not asking to get funding to begin production. Also you didnt corect me 1 cause i never said it was coming in 2015 and 2 before ussf4 people were expecting sf5. And once again if it wasn't coming till 2016 anyway why show it in 2014.
@jetlian Your comment is so wrong and full of holes, im not even going to waste my time picking it apart.
How does the fall lineup not exist when I've already got 3 exclusives in my sights alongside MGSV? Media Molecule's pedigree speaks for itself, and critics loved Tearaway for the Vita, which makes Tearaway Unfolded a no brainer for me. I love survival horror and multipath games like Heavy Rain, so I'm keeping a close eye on Until Dawn. My kids love anything couch co-op and they play Fat Princess all the time, so Fat Princess Adventures is gonna get bought. This is one of those times I'd be curious to compare my trophy list against the author's to see what he plays and how much, that justifies not counting certain games. My fall is covered. E3 showed me what I wanted to see which was what the future holds other than the umpteenth sequel dump.
Cant people just be happy whats on their platform of choice without trying to convince others how their platform is better? There are so many concern trolls on both sony and Microsoft E3 articles it's not even funny, its like people dont want to discuss the actual games themselves. As a playstation gamer I was happy with e3. NO Im not concerned that the titles are 2016 and beyond because of the myriad of indies, Japanese titles and multiplatform games coming out this year NO I dont care that the Last Guardians graphics are not like The Order 1886s. I just want to play and enjoy the dam game whose announcement ive been waiting for a very long time. The graphics look ok to me anyhow NO i dont care that Shenmue is on kickstarter. Heck I hope its released on all platforms so that everyone gets to play it. NO I dont care if FF7 is a timed exclusive and coming out in 2017 or beyond. We've been wanting a proper remaster for years, and now Ive got peace of mind . Just stop this BS journalism. K thanks
I'm going to be very civil about this. I disagree with the authors opinion. :) Have a nice day.
I mostly agree with this article. I think both Sony and Microsoft need more AAA exclusives... well, Microsoft needs them more then Sony to improve sales.
Microsoft seems to have caused the greatest misdirection by making everyone forget that haven't released any exclusives for the first 9 months of 2015. Do people forget that to win a year, you must actively release worthwhile games all throughout the year instead of just toward the end of it?
I just can't believe in spite of having more PS4 owners around the world, N4G is literally crawling with xbone fanatics. You agree with the article?? just like the dude above me. Yeah lets all pretend PS4 has no games all throughout the year and Xbones holiday lineup is equivalent to 12 months. Wow. So if an xboxer doesn't want a game on the competing console it does not exist?? Persona 5?? Until dawn?? RIme?? disgaea 5??. For these trolls to shut up I can't wait for last gen to happen again. With MS piling all their Big games in 3 months then after that nothing. SOrry but reality is sony is constantly producing games the whole year whether big or small. I just can't wait for your Xbone gas to run out. just like the 360 did. only 2 exclusive games in its last 2 years while PS3 had 20 plus games.
"With MS piling all their Big games in 3 months then after that nothing. SOrry but reality is sony is constantly producing games the whole year whether big or small" Your comment is absolutely ridiculous. Do small games exist or not? You seem to want to believe they exist for PS4, but ignore them for Xbox One. It's right there in your comment. You clearly say "Big" in relation to MS upcoming games, then clearly say "big or small" in relation to Sony's. You're clearly the one trying to deceive people into believing that many Xbox One games don't actually exist. MS has produced many games this year - you just want to ignore the smaller ones, while praising Sony for releasing smaller titles, in a desperate attempt to bash anything Xbox, and to keep forwarding the LIE that MS released NOTHING for the first nine months of the year. I find it hard to believe that N4G is still crawling with biased, misinformed Sony fanatics who have to ignore, deceive, and flat out lie in order to make a point. A troll like you has no credibility. Of course, you can feel that warm glow in knowing that N4G is crawling with other equally clueless trolls who will agree with you and make you feel like you know what you're talking about. Sorry, but your "wish" that all of the xboxers will shut up, or Xbox One will run out if gas, will just have to remain your personal delusion. As hard as you (and the masses here at N4G) try, you can't make the numerous Xbox One games, released all throughout the year, just disappear. How about you take your own advice and just ignore Xbox articles, like what you told someone recently about FF7.
You can't have it both ways, star_lancer. I've seen many Xbox fans- won't claim it was you, specifically- downplay the fact that games ARE coming this holiday. The very comment you're responding to lists 4 out of about 40 still to come. The article ignores all these "small" games. Turnabout is fair play. If you're gonna pretend like small games don't count for the PS4, then don't be surprised when people take the same stance for the small games on XB1.
Anyone who says Sony didn't have a great E3 is lying to themselves. Their only problem was their biggest announcements are all coming to other systems. Also almost everyone didn't give two cents about PS Vue. But a game like Horizon: Zero Dawn has "AAA" written all over it. It's sure to be a fantastic new IP. And Uncharted 4 is definitely going to deliver the goods. Those two games alone make it worth owning the PS4. I also haven't said enough good things about the new Morpheus. Last year when I tried the first version, I honestly thought it was crap. The new upgraded device is fantastic and worthy of serious praise. Sony finally got VR right, and they're doing it at a mass market level. I really hope it finds great success, it deserves it.
There is no misdirection. E3 are well known for showing games well before they arrive.
