CD Projekt RED has just announced that a new patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released later this week.
Sounds like a good one, yet still waiting for 1.06 on consoles... ugh oh well. Excellent game overall, thankfully still very much playable.
1.06 and 1.07 will be merged into one patch on consoles. Marcin Momot (community manager of CDPR) mentioned that some time ago.
Hmm must of missed it, thanks for the heads up. That explains the wait.
@Yaqza Have a Bubble for being 'Helpful' ....
ACTUALLY, patch 1.06 on consoles and patch 1.07 on PC are the same thing.
I was hoping they'd merge em. Got it on PC but best friend has it on X1. These devs continue to amaze. I <3 them. Also will b getting it on Xbox at some point for that physical Gwent deck. I want Gwent on my phone.
I am in Pakistan and coming back to the states in early September. By the time I get back I will have a lot of games to play and not a lot of time, and fall lineup is crazy too The order 1886 Batman Drive club Witcher 3 in September I will have mgs 5 and mad max Damn and than fallout 4 and uncharted trilogy I may just wait till early 2016 to get Witcher 3, it's a long game and I don't want to miss either mgs 5 or fallout 4. But I do want to support Cd project red. So I may buy the game to keep in my backlog
That's quite the list to try and squeeze together during the fall. If I was 15 it would be easy to manage but now I'm exhausted just by the thought. Anyways have a safe voyage back when you depart.
This was my first Witcher game, and I'd recommend not waiting to play it. Maybe because it's my first Witcher game, I'm a little overwhelmed with how amazing it is. I'm building a PC right now, so once that finishes up, I'll be selling my PS4 copy and buying a PC copy. I just hope all the bugs are worked out by then on PC.
Broken Thank you, I personally also can not wait. Thankfully the game didn't launch with any game breaking bugs. All these things in patches are minor stuff and I respect the way Cd project ed have been on top of all issues whether big or small Xavior Thank you kindly
Awesome! It addresses pretty much all the small issues I have with the game. Except maybe the falling damage.
roll out of that shit brah
Yeah just double tap jump to roll before hitting the ground and there will be no damage.
Really good tip, I honestly had no idea you could do that
I've put in 150+ hours, and didn't know that either. Lol. Thanks, man.
What about the font size ?? ( subtitle when they talk )
Or Map icons! My map forgets its' already-discovered icons, quite annoying. I can not imagine how such a bug would make it to retail.
Oh the subtitles is easy fix: Menu > Settings > Subtitles > OFF No more small text :)
Alchemy formulas and crafting diagrams can be “pinned”, meaning all components and ingredients required to make them will be conveniently marked in the Shop panel. <--- this feature makes me very happy. Also the books getting a dedicated tab makes way too much sense.
Atleast put them below the items you use all the time lol! No. This is a great patch.
I wonder what that first one is about. Alternate movement response mode?
I assume/hope it's a more responsive and less clunky one.
@Backlash93 For most third person games there is a balance between realistic looking movement and responsive movement. Take Bloodborne for example. When you turn and move your character, it happens almost instantly. This is good in the sense that the player feels in control of his/her character. However, it comes at the cost of an unrealistically fast turn animation. In the Witcher 3, Geralt won't complete his turn as soon as you move the stick in a given direction (depending on the direction he was already facing and the speed he was going). The responsiveness was particularly slow in this game (in addition to a strange acceleration rate) that caused a lot of players to say the movement felt "off." I imagine they are providing the option to change the controls to be more responsive and less real looking. We'll see for sure soon enough.
I really hope so. It's really the only thing that truly bugs me in this game is the movement. A lot of things mentioned in the patch notes sound great.
Great game retarded inventory
I don't know if you've played the other two games but they both had horrible inventory that got somewhat better in the "enhanced" versions of the games. I think we've found CDPR's weakness; bad/slow/crowded/waytof*&^ ingcomplicated inventory. Great game though.
I don't have an issue with the inventory.I pretty much beat the game with the OG weight capacity.I just had to stop hoarding swords and armor I never used though I still have all of my og stuff like my silver sword and armor.I just can't get rid of it for some reason..
So the lag in the inventory didn't annoy you? Impressive.
I never experienced any lag in the inventory area. Were you playing on PC or console?
I quit my PS4 play through because of the inventory lag. It's horrible in a game where applying oils and switching out bombs and potions are so critical. On the PC this issue doesn't exist and OMG, dat PC quick load. Speaking of which, is there something about the console architecture that prevent quick loads? All PC RPGs features quick saves and quick loads and I have yet to see a single console RPG with this feature set. You figured that with 8G of DDR 5 RAM this wouldn't be a problem for the PS4.
@Xavior_Reigns Not sure where or when I said that, but no, it doesn't bother me I guess.Along with every other thing I didn't mention... @Maxor Yea, thats not where the lag is, good try though.Keep trying, you may even convince yourself you actually own a current gen console... may be kinda hard tho considering a majority of your comments sound like you have PC bolts in your mouth.
Having Bolts in your mouth is a good thing. You might like it.
plus freaking bubs bro
Glad I can finally store some of witcher armor I made, since that was taking up so much of my inventory. Liking a sorting option and crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight.
Completely agree. I actually found I was a little put-off by the lack of a storage system; I want to be able to horde everything JUST-IN-CASE. It's an odd compulsion, I know this, but at least I only feel this way when playing games and not in real-life.
So happy I waited to start my hardest mode playthrough. I'll wait until this hits console to start that one.
"Crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight." Yes!
Should bring your weight down by maybe 1 pound, it's not that big of a deal.
ahhh cant wait till i get the update on ps4 can finally collect all the best weapons and armors
I finally finished it yesterday man what a great game!
so no framerate improvement yet?
On which platform? It runs pretty much flawlessly on my PC. Anyway, the patch notes do say: "A few performance enhancements, including the optimization of FX, scenes and general gameplay." So it does seem we can expect some performance improvements.
ps4. it definitely needs some improvement
Good News! CDPR may not have released The Witcher 3 without issue, I mean, nowadays it's a rare thing anyway. But they're damn sure working hard to fix this awesome game. The Witcher 3 is probably my favorite (and Skyrim) W/RPG in a hell of a long time.
The release of W3 is very much similar to W1 and W2 so for CDPR, it's par for the course lol. But, they do a excellent job supporting there games post-release.
Hat's off to CD Projekt RED, the are really listening to the community and look to improve on an already stellar game!
I freaking love this game. 3 days 15 hours played, and I havent even been to Skellige yet!
Good thing that they keep improving the game. Although it would have been better if they implanted this from the start. If the game was being tested by actual gamers, that whole inventory setup was fixed before release. You would think it's common sense to have books separated from the other stuff and crafting and alchemy items marked to see what is needed
Having to sort through bombs, potions and oils in a giant pile of books is annoying as hell. This is one the reasons that I didn't spec into an alchemy build. They need to streamline this more.
by the time i get this game.. it will be super improved.. keep at it, CD Projekt..
Look I love these patches and DLCs but I can't help but feel that I'm missing out on the complete experience because I'm in already in the late game without them. Player storeage in particular should've been day 1. Stop releasing RPGs without this feature!
Still having a blast clearing the map. I'm glad that CDPR is still fixing the game behind the scenes. Pretty awesome of them.
So when does this game get it's final, fully patched release so I can go buy it?
This patch is fantastic. This basically takes care of 99% of my gripes with the game. Thanks CD P! :)
