This game is just sooooo amazingly incredible in nearly every aspect. Over 100hrs of gameplay so far, still haven't been to Skellige, and still a mountain of things to do in Velen/Novigrad.

I thought the graphics of GTA5 PC were unbeatable......until I played this. The attention to detail is overwhelming. The combat is a lot of fun.

I can't rave on about this game enough.

How can you tell how long you've played this game?

samchez771234d ago

Look for the player stats in the in-game menu.

i have played way to many hours with this game but i didnt know there was a counter, looking at it thought it says my total play time is Days 24 Hours 4 Minutes 53 Seconds 0 i have played this a lot but not 500+ hours?

I don't usually have time for mods, tampering with files etc, but for this game it is easy and thought I'd see if I could get the most out of the visuals. If you haven't already, install the e3fx v7 Mod. Takes the visuals from already excellent to unbelievable, just by colour correction.

PS. There are two versions of the mod, one adds a few other effects (which to me I didn't notice) which cost 5-10fps. The other is simply colour correction which has no fps hit, and boy its worthwhile, makes the game even more immersive.

I haven't been so engrossed in a game since I can remember. Spent 3 hours yesterday just playing shopkeeps at Gwent to bulk up my collection. Think overall I've played Gwent for 5+ hours out of the 50 hour playtime! so far, reckon I will go to 150+ on this game given that I'm only level 14 as is.

e3fx is terrible and a sad excuse for a reshade mod.. the nights are way too bright, the bloom effects are overpowering and the colors are just muddy and unbalanced.. if you want real visual fidelity checkout uber fidelity suite, aims to actually ENHANCE the experience rather then trying to warp the art style into something that its not.

Anyone know if CDPR has commented on this week's missing DLC?

I'm on my second (PS4) play through. Completed on Hard, now on Blood 'N Bones difficulty and you really have to plan every move or a quick death awaits on later bosses. Witcher 3 is one of the best W/RPG I think I ever played, I can get totally lost in it. I think the free DLC ends next week. I'll miss those little gifts.

Looking forward to expansion packs though!

FoxyGotGame1233d ago

Yeah Blood 'N Bones and restarted on 'Death March'

...thank you for correction Lol

I'm getting a PS4 on Monday. Should I get Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition or Diablo III?

Cra2yey31233d ago

All great games. If you have friends, diablo 3, if you enjoy a great long single player rpg get witcher 3.

FPSRUSSIA1233d ago

i say get witcher 3 i have played all the games you have listed non of them compare to witcher 3

kingdom181233d ago

I would definitely say the Witcher 3 and just wait for the other two to go down in price further, I think you'll get a lot more enjoyment out of the Witcher compared to the other two titles.
