Quote: "During the Bethesda conference where they made me fangirl out of my chair because of Fallout 4, they interrupted their presentation to show us a new mobile game they developed. When I first heard the words “mobile game” I sighed and wanted to leave the stream until they started showing Fallout 4 again. But then they announced Fallout Shelter and Todd Howard said that you can play it offline, there’s no paywalls for building stuff and the only form of microtransaction is extra lunchboxes filled with extra loot…"
Bethesda will do as Bethesda does, tormenting us with talk of a playable build of TES 6 on the 30-year anniversary of The Elder Scrolls series.
Playable builds is always good to know sounds like they've started full production. Still BR awhile but good to know development is goin smooth.
I lost a lot of enthusiasm for Elder Scrolls VI after playing Starfield. It was interesting, but it was still a massive disappointment for me. Elder Scrolls is different from Starfield in many ways, but I can’t bring myself to trust Bethesda with anything anymore.
Chris Avellone expands on his earlier claims that Fallout New Vegas dev Obsidian pitched Bethesda ideas for Elder Scrolls spinoffs.
Really Bethesda? Come on
We could have gotten to explore more of the regions or revisit old ones with another developer making them. Would have shortened the time between releases of the main games.
The issue here was Bethesda was butthurt that obsidian managed to develop a better fallout game at the time (new vegas) than theirs (fo3) so they didn't allow it.
It's funny how they're both owned by Microsoft now. They should be able to work together now.
Bethesda has been one of the gaming giants present in the gaming industry for the past 30 years. It used to really mean something when a Bethesda title was going to launch. But the question is, is this a deserved reaction anymore?
If you’re having to ask yourself this question then you already know the answer.
I think the final verdict is waiting for Elder Scrolls VI
Skyrim was fantastic but I think that's where people started to catch on with the bugs and the like
Fallout 4 was a bit of a let down but maybe they'll will learn their mistakes and get a new engine, possibly stop streamlining the RPG elements to make it even more accessible.
Fallout 76 was grim, where you knew something was up and they weren't the same as before. Todd lying on stage like that, I will never not hear Little Lies by Fleetwood Mac and not think of that moment at E3.
Starfield just didn't deliver
So it's down to Elder Scrolls VI whether it's the final nail or not
I just find it funny with the way they are going, there's still people out there who scream for co-op in the mainline Elder Scrolls / Fallout games. Like they can't seem to even do a single player game, why do people still want them to take on more than they can chew. It's insane thinking.
Starfield left such a bad taste in my mouth im going to say “No!” to this headline. If Starfield was an xbox X launch title I would still be disappointed. Perhaps I set my expectations too high and it is what it is. Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 5 or maybe even a new IP from them, could give them an opportunity to redeem themselves
Lately they haven’t been, so… if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck 🤷♂️
Hear hear!
I kinda felt the same way when he mentioned mobile, but I thought to myself, well this has to be good to interrupt Fallout 4. But I won't be able to see how good it is til it's on Android anyway.
First before I go on about mobile games, the fact that you went out of your way of all insulting the entire mobile games market and calling it "piss"/and pointing out fallout shelter as a bright light among mobile games, is being pretty freaking unfair to many other games that are on there in the.mobile market if you even freaking bothered to look for them.
Example: Anti squad tactics can be completely played off line has crates that give you freebies, and just like fallout shelter you can win them without buying.
But yeah its all Piss alright/s
And the game plays very well.
There is.plenty of games on the mobile market that are like that, but calling the entire mobile market as piss is just seems pretty salty about the support The Mobile.market is getting.
@1nsomniac
How so is it ruining the game market from the inside out? For instance Rockstar games released GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas and now more people than ever can play those games. Again how is that embarrassment or is a cancer to the game industry?
If any thing its growing the game industry.
And more mobile device games are being supported with native game pad support, so again making gaming cheaper vector point for quality games like GTA for instance is some how a cancer to gaming?
Gamers to day have a weird way of looking at growth of our hobby.
I played the game for 1 hour then I got bored. Haven't touched it since
