Shigeru Miyamoto: The man behind the Nintendo Wii

Telegraph Writes: "If there is such a man as a modern-day Walt Disney, then he is surely Shigeru Miyamoto. Few can have contributed so greatly to the cultural fabric of an era as much as Miyamoto-san, the Japanese designer who has revived not just Nintendo's fortunes, but videogames as a whole.

The industry is now worth more than £1.72 billion per year in the UK alone, and is rapidly catching up with DVD sales. Miyamoto, 55, is responsible for the Wii and DS games consoles, which have brought a new audience to gaming."
