The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a great game, but CD Projekt RED hasn’t been very lucky with the distribution of patches and DLC in certain regions of the PSN, with delays hitting especially Europe and Asia.
Thank goodness the fall damage is ridiculous.
Yeah. I think The Witcher 3 is the only game ever in which I died in the tutorial lol.
Besides Demon Souls and Dark Souls Witcher 3 is the only game where I died from falling.
^ Not a fan of platformers?
Thankfully you can cast Quen before falling to avoid the damage, but it's still absurd how much damage you can take from a fall that looks no more than 4 feet.
Yea lol the mighty Geralt of Rivia the killer of men and the great monsters slaughter have damage fall from 4 ft lol
I once had to run from one point of the map to the other end all over again after accidentally falling off a bridge.
Its stupid I agree...however you just have to roll...then its not an issue.
They see me rollin' They hatin' ...
For me, although I had some annoyances at the start, and still even now I sometimes happen to die from a fall. :S But this manages to restrict me from jumping around everywhere like a clown, and sticking to more even travel grounds. And the game taught me to stop messing around and be discrete about my movements and actions, in the game, when roaming and fighting.
Wait what? The Triss DLC already came out? I already downloaded it and the Wolf School Gear DLC Edit: Nevermind this is for EU
Well I'm in NA so I wouldn't know about the European areas, but yeah I have both dlcs.
Anyone else a bit disappointed in the Triss DLC outfit? I know it's free but pretty ugly isn't it?
I don't dislike it. It might be an elven outfit, but it's a bit over the top.The tiara is what throws me off the most. I definitely prefer Yennefer's.
I am. I didn't even dload it - i'll wait for the "triss thong bikini" dlc.....mmmmmmmm
Ive never really noticed the fall issues tbh, well ive never died from falling yet and i have 8 days play time, some small falls do take alot of life considering the height but then i just quickly meditate after. Anyways i guess any update that improves gameplay is a good one i suppose :)
Kills griffin > dies from 2ft fall. climbs on horse and can climb up ledges >gets caught trying to step over a pebble and can't walk anywhere :-) great game though
They should reduce the fall damage but keep some of it at least, having to roll is an interesting mechanic.
The fall damage is ridiculously bugged. Just today I've almost died while jumping off of a fence or something. It was barely taller than Geralt.
Fix the horrible Horse mechanics first (Roach, I love and loathe you) and the slow walking movement in general. I hate trying to collect and loot items (which are so awkward to line up and then to run passed it because run and loot is the same button. Lets us sort our inventory, change equipped items while in the store, and for godsake, get rid of candles.
The thing that im hating the most right now is on the "Follow" this person quests. You tilt the joystick all the way and you always go faster than the one that your are following, so you have to go back and go behind the person. But if you go slower the other person also slows. Its ridiculous!!!
The fall damage is ridiculous but do people not know how to double tap circle or B just before they hit the floor in order to reduce damage or stop it from happening at all?
Agreed, but like others are saying, Roll when you land. But then there are those unexpected times as well that get ya.
Yeah the FD sucks but sometimes I think he climbs too slowly like he's an old man instead of a monster hunter.
The thing about the fall damage in the witcher is if you've read the books, in "time of Contempt" on the Isle of thanedd incident. There's a part when ciri leaps from a far height and it explains how witchers are trained to land well from high heights and be uninjured yet in the game anything higher than 7 foot and it almost means death lol.
