MediaStinger: "One of Sony’s biggest and best announcements at their E3 2015 media briefing was that the developers at Guerrilla Games (best known for Killzone) are working on a brand new IP called Horizon: Zero Dawn."
Think this is probably my game of the show from E3 this year. It looks fantastic not only graphically but gameplay wise too.
Guerrilla Live starts in 4 hours. Tune in for dev interviews and in-depth info on Horizon Zero Dawn. https://twitter.com/Guerril...
bow and arrow vs robot dino makes zero sense
"bow and arrow vs robot dino makes zero sense in real life, but this is a video game so its actually really cool" fixed your comment for you. you're welcome.
Is that the best you can do? :I
Your comment makes no sense. We're talking about a computer game here.
So... because its a video game there are no standards for sensibility? Next time you play call of duty how about they throw rocks instead of guns cus hey its a video game.
^ I ate a flower the other day, which was nice, but afterwards I couldn't throw fireballs, WTF*?! Mario SUCKS!! /S *Newsflash: Games aren't real. ;^)
Maybe not standard arrows (unless there are weak spots not covered by metal plating), but arrows with various abilities like emp and explosives then yes.
If all video games were sensible and realistic.. We would all be very bored. An imagination is a good thing. I feel bad for you, you seem very uptight.
Anyone who cares please raise their hands up. No one? Okay. Also lol you think call of duty is realistic?
So does everything else in a gaming universe. Newsflash, IT'S A GAME.
Hold my hands up, you're right, everyone knows guns are the only realistic way to bring down a ROBOT DINOSAUR...
"bow and arrow vs robot dino makes zero sense" ...aaaaaaaaarrrgh my brain!
Mankind was pushed back to the stone ages, it seem like. Using a customized bow and arrow beats having to throw rocks, sticks, meat, and dung at a robotic T-rex like machine armed with mortars, missiles, and an unknown array of sensors.
I'm more impressed how you question the power of bone arrows and not the existence of robot dinosaurs.
such bitterness that we love it.
To have so many bubbles posting such narrow minded comments makes no sense at all
It actually does though. Arrows aren't weak and useless, they actually do damage in real life. And in the trailers, there's a reason she was aiming for weak spots rather than the metal-plated parts of the dino.
@sonarus Your lack of imagination is what makes zero sense. Sucks to be you. And then he brings up call of duty for a "realistic" reference? The game where you soak up bullets like a sponge, then kneel down for a few seconds and you're good to go? The game where you run around faster than Usain Bolt despite having 150 pounds of gear on your back? The game where you can pull 18 different weapons off your back instantaneously...including everything from handguns, to rpg's, to drones? Someone get this child his medication, he's cranky.
I thought she was using explosive and some type of electrical arrow. Didn't know stone or metal tipped arrows explode. Maybe I'm wrong. Somebody help me out
This is the game that stood out to me, i think this is going to be an awesome start to a new franchise.
Game of the show for me! It looks so fun and so pretty! The premise is interesting too, kind of Turok but turned on itself? Can't wait to play it!
I see G.o.t.Y material written allover this title
It's going to be a tough fight for that title next year, but indeed it looks absolutely fantastic.
It looks really interesting, but the public demo at e3 was a little underwhelming. All they did was a little stealth and then bow and arrow combat, and then stopped. Combat with that big dino might be fun to play, but not to watch. Waiting for another longer demo which actually shows or details lot more of the stuff they have. Right now, I'm excited about the game, but only because of the info I've heard, and because... Guerilla Games is making it, and they do have some really good quality games. + it's exclusive, and that always means a certain kind of quality.
Cool story bro
This is a first look at a brand new IP. You aren't going to get a FULL view of what the game is. It just doesn't happen. What they showed was basically to try to highlight some of the core mechanics and provide an introduction to the story and the world in which it takes place. Personally, I found the set piece to provide a large amount of insight into how this game could play. Plus, it was pretty interesting to watch.
