VVV: "Turn 10 Studios have confirmed that, for the first time ever, you will be able to play as a female driver in the upcoming racer Forza Motorsport 6 which is currently scheduled for release in September."
Good news. Hopefully we'll be able to create our own driver/avatar, including clothes, hair, skin colour, etc.
YUP YUP. I'm surprised this is just now happening in the racing game world. Male favoritism. I mean, I'm a dude, but I think it's wrong that it's often a male that you play as. Well... not MOST, but you know what I mean. Final Fantasy kinda broke the mold. IDK. Peace and love. :P Creating your own character would be cool, but I would say that could mainly be for games of this nature. Something where there's a story, let it be a male or female lead. No customization, imo.
Well, games like Kingdoms of Amalur, Mass Effect, Skyrim, etc etc allow you to create a female character to roam their world with, while still having a deep personal story... :)
haha Thanks for the humiliating me :( tear. Yea, I remember Resident Evil way back when I was in elementary school and then Tomb Raider and Silent Hill? and only a couple of others that do this. lol I was really drawing a blank and I could really only remember Resident Evil as an example of a game from a long time ago to "adapt" the idea of a female lead protagonist. There's Heavenly Sword... yeaaaa. Anyway, I didn't play all those games in depth aside from RE and FF. I'm not really a Mass Effect fan even though it looks badass. I'm just not a huge gamer, but that's about to change now that I can afford the hobby. Mirror's Edge... :D But really, I was only saying they should stick to a male or female lead if it's a story mode game in my opinion. I don't disagree or won't argue against an opposing opinion.
On the subject of customisation, did anyone else used to play and enjoy the Tokyo Highway Challenge games? The last release I believe was Import Tuner Challenge for Xbox 360 in 2006. I miss cruising the highways for bosses and bonus racers haha, the level of customisation in those games was insane. Obviously not a competitor to Forza but solid games in their own right, looks like NFS is back on track, aiming for the lost days of Underground/Carbon, building cars up from stock to hero. Exciting times for driving and racing fans.
Just let me be a black driver and we good!!
A black female maybe? Possibly a Rachel Dolezal expansion pass?
oh snap, since when are we seeing our own driver?
Really, now? I have to say though. It looked pretty damn stooopid how the first Forza Horizon had some dude with shades and a fridgin' watch. SMH
Now for the real Important question, will cockpit view include simulated boobies with real world physics bouncing.
Curb-stones, here we come....
Wow, that's like ground breaking, tell the BBC!
Must fight it must fight it I can not fight it.. sounds like there will be a lot of crazy drivers on the road...
I am not satisfied...there needs to also be transgender drivers in the game.
Caitlyn Jenner has already been confirmed for the post launch content roadmap. "Car-dashian dlc pack.'
Caitlyn Jenner has already been confirmed for the post launch content roadmap. "Car-dashian dlc pack." LMFAO! i couldn't resist that one, but on topic i do like that they will have female drivers in the game. Nice!
Female avatars? You mean they can't parallel park and they put on their makeup in the middle of the race?
I would love it if Turn 10 made a Rally game. DiRT 1 was the best. Then they went down hill.
Really isn't that important honestly you'll only get to see the driver's physical looks on the replay sequences, most of the time it'll just be that gloved hands and maybe a few glimpses with the feet on the pedals. I'd like to see them implement a sort of racing flag rules - at the least the basics especially with on-line race events. ( green=race, yellow=caution, blue=give way to faster cars, black=return to pits for penalty/unsportsmanlike behaviour ) This is to weed out the bad whose intentions are just to ruin other gamers.
It's all about making it feel personal. Besides, we're not sure what the game will be played like until it releases. It looks like the Forza series is taking a different approach by recreating the way people will play their games. It's intriguing. I still really don't like T10. Their DLC approach needs to change. That's one example. And the flag system is a good idea. Banning specific cars in lobbies by way of voting would be an awesome idea. I hate when others use automatic win "cars" and ruin a race that way, period.
