Dive deep into the systems and freedom of options at Snake's disposal in 40 minutes of brand new MGS5 gameplay from E3 2015.
This looks fantastic!
Some flat and low res textures here and there. Other than that it looks glorious. Do anyone know how big this game will be?
I actually meant the game as a whole looks fantastic, I couldn't see many graphical issues - the game looks very polished. I am sure I've read that it's a 100+ hour game, ridiculous!
Thanks starrman, 100+ hours, well now I know how i'll spend the next two months after it releases.
@tuglu_pati keep in mind ts game is coming out on ps3/360, for a cross-gen title it still looks incredible! Also considering the size of the game, fair play to kojima productions for pulling it off.
seriously? Is that what you were looking for my god it is going to be a long gen with everyone gripping about every little graphical thing and not even talking about the gameplay.
@trenso1 "my god it is going to be a long gen" oh god please dont say that, last gen was already a few years longer than it should have been compared to previous gens (probably because of that whole global recession thing, among many other factors). I don't think I'm ready for another 8-9 year long generation. 5-6 was always a nice sweet spot in the past.
@trenso1 did you missed the part where I said "Other than that it looks glorious." people always tend to read only what they want to read. @christian hour i agree it look great and its 60FPS, I was just pointing out a few minor details.
Looking "Solid" as usual
This will no doubt be GOTY.
The graphics in the inside of the building need to be worked on.
@trenso1 Oh, lighten up a little; it's difficult to not notice little things like that. For instance, I noticed that Snake's weapon sometimes clips through walls and frequently clips through his canteen. Does that mean I'm not completely blown away by this game's art style and ability to run at 60 FPS in a vast, open space with little-to-no pop-in even during scenes of complete explosive madness? No, it doesn't mean that. It's clearly extremely impressive, but sometimes little things stick out and you shouldn't attack him for just saying something.
i want to watch this so but im not watching, i already know this will be one of the greatest games ever created !!!
I couldn't resist cause im a weak fool! No need to watch it mate, rest assured this game will be the BEST metal gear to date
The most important thing, Kojima Productions Logo is back. Fans keep pressuring Konami and Kojima Silent Hills might still happen.
It says "Kojima Productions" at the end!!!!
*MUST SEE VIDEO* Nice to hear about the concern of micro-transactions and it will not be a "pay to win" (guess this concerns Online Play mostly). Fine weapon customations.. customations in general. Cool to hear about female soldiers and that you don't have to play as Big Boss alltime.
One thing that confused me, and please correct me if I'm wrong. When Big Boss grabs the soldier to interrogate, but then can't because he speaks russian, he sends him back to motherbase to be interrogated by a russian speaking operative. My confusion is this; I thought big boss could speak russian? Wasn't there a scene in snake eater where he's speaking russian to someone, and then the dialogue switches to english but its implied they're still speaking in russian? (kind of like 'Allo 'Allo, they're all speaking in english but theyre supposed to be speaking in french, and so the english spy has REALY bad english cos its supposed to be french :) )
Big Boss suffered brain damage, he is now monolingual.
Amazing answer :)
Gah...been waiting for this all week!
That was so great. That D-Walker was so freaking awesome. D-Dog was extremely useful as well. I can't wait for this masterpiece.
D- Dog and D-Walker both are wicked! Im loving the buddy system. So many options and possibilities when approaching missions will make me play this game for years to come!
That was...INTENSE.Looks like 2015 is the year of masterpieces, just like 2007.What a great year for gaming, hopeing 2016 will give us the same.
2015 is absolutely amazing. Bloodborne, Withcer 3, MGS5, Batman AK, Fallout 4...list goes forever. Best part is that next year will be ridiculously good too.
Hot damn! I was going to play this all stealth from the start, but all these weapons, d-buddies, long distance sniper kills etc. made me decide that for the first playthrough i'm going to use everything motherbase has to offer. 2nd playthrough shall be no kills, no alarms playthrough.
This looks incredible, cannot wait to get my hands on it. While on the topic of microtransactions, although it isnt pay to win and you can still get all the stuff by putting in the hours, 10 years ago these "microtransactions" would have been called Cheat Codes, and readily avialable to all players with no charge. Same with unlockable skins... now you have to pre order a game from a specific store to get a variety of different skins or wait for them to be released as DLC (arkham is a big offender on this front). 10 years ago they would have been in the game, unlockable, and available to everyone. It's sad how much the climate has changed but I guess thats just the way it is. Regardless, arkham knight and phantom pain both look to be incredible games, no matter how much the suits in charge step in and insert money rackets in to them.
this will be the most polished open world game
This is my game of the year.
Whoa, looks incredible! I've gotten through MGS1 & 2, currently playing Snake Eater. Absolutely perplexed by how good Kojima's games are. Can't wait to dive into MGS4 and Peace Walker before embracing Phantom Pain :)
Best game ever, I LOVE everything of that gameplay demo. So much content and such amazing stuff!!! DD and DW kick ass <3. 74 days left brothers!
The game looks great, the number of customization options looks to be extensive, the gameplay looks awesome. One thing that struck me is the sheer number of ways I identified that the mission of display could have been approached. Now, as an avid Metal Gear fan, I never minded the cutscenes, but some did. The approach seems to be a bit different here, should make the game more appealing. I truly can't wait to get my hands on this one. I haven't purchased a game day one in quite some time. I think I'll be braving the midnight lauch for this puppy.
I might give this a try. I hated MGS4 because of all the cutscenes and lack of gameplay. This seems like they made it gameplay heavy which is great in my opinion
my body is ready for this, and god damn quiet is hot as fuck jeeesus
Do not you think that the map will be smaller than what they said? I'm really worried about this.
Any idea when we will see more of MGO?
Some things I noticed that made me happy: - Pop-in is almost completely absent; I never, ever expected them to reduce it this much in a game this open at 60 fps in 1080p. Seriously really, really impressed with that. - Fulton limitations: I like that you have to pick-and-choose who and what to fulton. Not only does this force you to have to hide bodies sometimes, but it adds additional strategy (i.e. should I fulton this one guy, or carry him and a couple buddies over to a vehicle I want to fulton?). - Complex customization: it looks like in order to attach elements like a fore-grip, flashlight, grenade launcher, you have to swap out the front-end of the gun with a rail system. That's a really nice touch—it could create interesting trade-offs in what type of barrel you put on your weapon. - Buddy system: looks like you can thoroughly adjust your buddy's equipment and appearance, likely giving them different abilities or making them more resilient. - Using a scope while in cover. - Missions list targets-of-interest for fultoning in the actual description. Pretty cool. Still a little concerned about the microtransactions. I know I won't like them either way (I think they're a stupid thing to have in a full-retail release), but hopefully they're implemented in a way that makes me never feel penalized at all for not purchasing them. If I hit walls where I essentially have to wait to make progress, I will not be happy, but Sean's words did help to alleviate my worry a bit.
A friend of mine who has never been into MGS and doesn't know much about it seen this video and got super hyped for it. September 1st can't come fast enough.
I love Quiet, especially her look.
