Famitsu this week has first details on Square Enix and Platinum Games’ newly announced NieR project for PlayStation 4.
Mild spoiler: Judging from the "final" endings, Emil will likely be present. I hope Kaine is in too.
The presenter was also dressed up as Emil, so that's a good hint.
Ah, I didn't watch the conference.
I didn't see. Which Emil are we talking about? Blindfold version, or the Tim Burton version?
... Or they'll just do what they did with Drakengard. Drakengard ending A = Drakengard 2 Drakengard ending E = NieR
Great new announcement and Ps4 exclusive
Have we been fighting in vain? Fighting in vain?
Oh it will be so long until I get to play next year. Want this so bad.
What exactly is Nier? Just saw the CGI, is it like Bayonetta? I tend to like Platinum Games' action games
Action adventure game with rpg elements. Arguably the best sound composer in the industry to boot. It's very...weird of a series.(drakengard/Nier) so it's definitely not for people who like grounded stories.
Thanks everyone for your input. I like the sound of action mixed with rpg as those are 2 of my favourite genres. I'm quite baffled why I never heard of this serious, it sounds like it's got a good following. I'll read up on the previous installments where possible and follow this game closely
To get a full grasp of the story you have to see one of the endings of Drakengard, and then read a information book that only released in Japan. It really fleshes out the story.
Well, you don't HAVE to, but it certainly helps.
