Bohemia Interactive has released a new trailer for Arma 3’s new terrain.
Still hoping for Gabe to come save this snorefest of a conference at the very end Nice map though. If only DayZ had this level of quality
DayZ is 2 years from completion. Why would you even say that?
As of right now, weapon switching in DayZ works maybe 1/3 of the time. weapon. switching. Not working. Remember that joke about how the PS3 was powerful enough to allow "real-time weapon change" in Genji? Well apparently that IS a next-gen feature, because DayZ can't even do it right. Picking up items is just as broken, and the framerate gets horrendous in cities even on the best gaming rigs. After 1.5 years of open alpha, this is unacceptable. The most infuriating thing about DayZ is that the very first thing they should've done with the standalone is to fix the engine in order to start the game on a solid foundation. They literally did EVERYTHING EXCEPT THAT. Now the game is too broken to even be played, and they have to spend months and months redoing and fixing a bunch of stuff. I don't believe we'll ever see the day where DayZ gets fixed anymore. I was the biggest DayZ fan ever at some point, but I gave up. I'd rather have them abandon the project, learn from their mistakes, and start over And to answer your question more specifically, DayZ is very unfortunately built on the ArmA 2 engine. What you see in this trailer is ArmA 3 engine
DayZ isn't even close to being finished wont even enter beta till next year. ARMA3 had plenty of problems in Early Access and is still being worked on even after coming out of Early Access. I have been playing ARMA3 since it was available on Steam cant wait for the new terrain.
Nice detail. Looks almost photorealistic at times.
The drybags especially
i hope they release ArmA 3 on PS4/X1
I can't imagine how they'd make a game like ArmA work on a controller. A keyboard + mouse barely has enough buttons for this game
i can see it now 720p
arma. its like a video game but bad.
is this supposed to look impressive?
Sure, but does it run like Crysis?
Damn that YouTube compression looked terrible.
