I do too, but to be fair, Mr. Layden has improved quite a bit since the last E3. At PSX he was much more laid back and more controlled with his hand gestures, and yesterday he spoke at a much better pace and looked pretty confident.

Plagasx1041d ago (Edited 1041d ago )

Damn good observation skills you have there.

freshslicepizza1041d ago

jack was awesome, he had way more charisma. nothing wrong with layden but jack knew how to present himself.

the last guardian could come to the pc so this whole notion it can only be made for the ps4 is more fluff we always keep hearing from all parties (not just sony).

sony shouldn't even worry about call of duty partnership. let microsoft waste their money. the ps4 is in control so it will sell more regardless.

i understand morpheus being difficult but microsoft got a huge crowd reaction with minecfart and hololens so it is possible to get people excited even when looking. i just hope it's not another playstation move novelty. they spoke about how it's not a main focus, this worries me about real support and of course they showed sports games ironically. i said before sony will not commit to morpheus in a way they will make aaa games only for it. it will have morpheus support or be smaller indie games, that's it.

vita is pretty much dead now but the tv vue might be good.

morganfell1041d ago

The Last Guardian on PC? No.

"According to Layden The Last Guardian is a game that can be only on PlayStation, not because of technology, but because of what kind of platform it is and the kind of community it has."

Bathyj1041d ago

I thought so too. It helped that hed been a year in the job now and too be fair, they had him crapping on about TV stuff last year. Not the best way to introduce the new guy. This year his subject matter was way better.

Plus he was rocking a beard this year. He looks confident in his position and less like a scared schoolboy. Beards are good like that.

freshslicepizza1041d ago (Edited 1041d ago )

@morganfell,

i never implied it will come to the pc, my argument was their reasoning it can only be made for the ps4 is unfounded and just pr stunts. last time i checked a controller can be used on the pc and for them to say the community is why? that's absurd. all that means is sony is catering to their own community which is perfectly reasonable from their point of view but reality says otherwise that it would not be welcomed on the pc. of course it would be they just don't want it there.

morganfell1041d ago (Edited 1041d ago )

You didn't imply? No you didn't. Imply means to suggest without explicitly stating it. But you were explicit:

"the last guardian could come to the pc..."

You may have meant something else but that isn't what you typed. You said it could come to pc and here is Layden say it can only be on PlayStation. You were clear and he was clear. You are saying his statement was, and these are your words, "more fluff."

The PlayStation community is different from the PC commununity. If you don't see that then you don't play much on PlayStation. And if it is possible or not is immaterial. It isn't coming to PC.

Then again in the midst of celebrating a landmark title there are always those agenda driven people looking for the negative.

freshslicepizza1041d ago

"You didn't imply? No you didn't. Imply means to suggest without explicitly stating it. But you were explicit:

"the last guardian could come to the pc..."

yes, it could come to the pc but sony will not make it happen. that's the whole point in case you missed it.

"You may have meant something else but that isn't what you typed. You said it could come to pc and here is Layden say it can only be on PlayStation. You were clear and he was clear. You are saying his statement was, and these are your words, "more fluff."

tell me, what exactly are you arguing against, do you even know? who cares if it did come to the pc, maybe that's the question you should be asking yourself instead? i am not suggesting it will ever come to the pc, i am suggesting it could if sony allowed it but they won't, get it now? it could come to the pc but sony doesn't want it to and it sure sounds like you don't. sony has a mandate why they don't, what's yours?

"The PlayStation community is different from the PC commununity. If you don't see that then you don't play much on PlayStation. And if it is possible or not is immaterial. It isn't coming to PC."

last i checked playstation owners are regular people. in fact i own one and play on the pc, does that make me unique in some way?

"Then again in the midst of celebrating a landmark title there are always those agenda driven people looking for the negative."

oh. so my comments somehow diminishes your eagerness for the game? you make a lot of sense.

morganfell1041d ago (Edited 1041d ago )

The first thing I am against I have already mentioned. People such as yourself that out of jealousy or whatever motivation enter a thread and do little more than troll. You bring up some nonsensical matter all for the sake of controversy. It is called baiting. And it is nonsensical.

Do you know what you are arguing for? What is your point really besides controversy and discord because nothing in your post is of the slightest worth. That is your general modus operandi, angst and negativity but that does not make iot worthy or of sense.

The last time you checked? Well I do nopt check. I am a member of that community. I do not stop in with a clipboard and conduct a survey.

I am sure you own a PS4. I say this because your posts are rarely complimentary for anything Sony offers. PlayStation gamers do not have to "check" on the community. They are the community. Your posts and actions are a pattern and it says more than you will in a hundred sentences.

Your posts diminish nothing for me personally. They merely sour a community discussion at a time when they are celebrating the news of a long awaited title. The fact you cannot grasp this is at once disappointing and laughable. Or else you understand this and choose to do what you can to create friction.

As regards the entire PC matter you seem genuinely upset Sony will not make a bad business decision and bring the game to the PC. You attempt to denigrate their failure to screw up. Nonsense. Total absurdity and nonsense.

morganfell,
"The first thing I am against I have already mentioned. People such as yourself that out of jealousy or whatever motivation enter a thread and do little more than troll. You bring up some nonsensical matter all for the sake of controversy. It is called baiting. And it is nonsensical."

the bait is from the interview suggesting this could only be possible on the ps4 and you fell for it hook line and sinker.

"Do you know what you are arguing for? What is your point really besides controversy and discord because nothing in your post is of the slightest worth. That is your general modus operandi, angst and negativity but that does not make iot worthy or of sense."

i mentioned a few points but you seem focused on the notion i mentioned the pc like you had some fear this precious exclusive may be on another platform. you took what i said out of context and are still upset over what i have no idea. it's not coming to the pc so you can relax now. you're enjoyment is not in jeopardy, ok? the context was this game of course could come to the pc if sony allowed it so to suggest it could only be made for the ps4 is just pr talk, you took the bait.

"The last time you checked? Well I do nopt check. I am a member of that community. I do not stop in with a clipboard and conduct a survey."

survey of what, that once you buy a playstation you become a member of some special club? give it up and stop being pretentious. we both enjoy games, that's all that needs to be said. so don't try and justify this by thinking we need to place people into clicky groups to make us feel better about our purchases.

"I am sure you own a PS4. I say this because your posts are rarely complimentary for anything Sony offers. PlayStation gamers do not have to "check" on the community. They are the community. Your posts and actions are a pattern and it says more than you will in a hundred sentences."

blah blah blah. more nonsense because you feel it's a battle of us and them mentality. get over it. this isn't about me versus sony. i have no issues with them anymore than i do with microsoft or nintnedo or valve. once again i ask to stop pandering and putting people into your special groups.

"Your posts diminish nothing for me personally. They merely sour a community discussion at a time when they are celebrating the news of a long awaited title. The fact you cannot grasp this is at once disappointing and laughable. Or else you understand this and choose to do what you can to create friction."

the sourness is all on you. why should it matter if i say sony is only saying this because they want to sell hardware and not because a platform like the pc could do the game justice. stop taking the bait man. you're better than this little game they want you to play along to.

"As regards the entire PC matter you seem genuinely upset Sony will not make a bad business decision and bring the game to the PC. You attempt to denigrate their failure to screw up. Nonsense. Total absurdity and nonsense."

why am i upset? it's their license, they are funding it. you are making no sense at all and don't know what the word context means. it could come to the pc if sony allowed it but they aren't which is why they can make false claims it can only be done on the pc and and you know it. i never said it would and am not implying it will. relax pal. stop baiting yourself.

morganfell1040d ago

It is only possible on the PS4. You fail to account for the developmental atmosphere and you fail to look at this from the financial viewpoint of Sony who have an investment in the PlayStation brand. There is a reason they recently divested themselves of their PC division. You do not look at what is possible and viable for Sony. But you Mr nobody in your basement know better than Sony.

The bait is from the interview? Who came here to complain about what was said in the interview? You. You are the one that has the hook deep in your gut. You couldn't stand what Layden said. You had a problem with the interview not me. You took issue and complained about the interview, not me. Enjoy your worm.

You can stop complaining because you said something and people quoted you and then you attempted to ignore what you said. It doesn't work like that.

Owning a device doesn't make you anymore a member of a community than owning multiple devices makes you objective over the games for those devices. Again, I am just quoting you. If you do not like it then perhaps you should better watch what words you employ.

Blah blah blah? Most intelligent thing you have posted.

Sour? Who came here to complain after reading the article? Whose posts are replete with angst and dissatisfaction over what Sony has said and done. Which one of us has an issue with Sony? Other than a few meager remarks, which one of us takes issue with Sony's games, investments, and direction 95% of the time and which one of us is never sour on Sony.

Again you do not see that it couldn't come to the PC because you fail to look at the game in the light of Sony's investment and vision. You only see what moldy thinks in his small small world. Bringing it to the PC could not be done for a variety of reasons the least of which would be the loss to PlayStation. Then again, the view isn't that great from your room versus what you see sitting on the board of a company.

So does he remember a product called the Vita?

fermcr1041d ago

Vita is dead. Some people just haven't realised it, yet.

NewMonday1041d ago

Vita still getting games

nigelp5201041d ago

World of Final Fantasy comes out next year so Vita still has life

IamTylerDurden11041d ago (Edited 1041d ago )

Sony had the best e3 i have ever seen, Horizon is the best new ip i've seen in a long time, stunning.

And...Platinum Games PS4 exclusive was announced today!

Heavy Rain and Beyond 2 Souls are coming to PS4. Crazy awesome times to be a Sony fan.

ThichQuangDuck1041d ago

Much of their announcements were nostalgia whether it be Shenmue 3, FFVII or continued remasters. One of their better E3s,but wish they showed more of what is coming this year

IamTylerDurden11039d ago

We know what's coming - Rapture, GoW 3 Re, Drake Collection, Until Dawn, Tomorrow Children, Soma, Tearaway Unfolded, Bedlam, Volume, maybe Rime, Salt & Sanctuary, The Forest, Earth Night, Galak-Z, Planetside 2, Killing Floor 2, J Stars V Vs+, Abzú, Gang Beasts, Distance, Dragon quest, Godzilla, maybe No Man's Sky, Dungeon Defenders, Darkest Dungeon, Enter the Gungeon, Samurai Gunn, Broforce, Persona 5, FF VII original, Energy Hook, Heavy Rain, Beyond 2 Souls, Project Phoenix, Astebreed, Alienation, and invisible inc and others.

Look up allthe games coming exclusively, console exclusive and Sony exclusive ln PS4 in 2015 it is crazy, most of the games seem excellent too.

ThichQuangDuck1039d ago

@IamTylerDurden1

This is true, but I wanted dates for many of those games so I know they aren't delayed. Such a huge focus on games that are being ported from PC or remasters. low on multiplayer games. Just my personal queries

Acquiescence1041d ago

I officially like Shawn Layden after yesterday's conference. He dropped the Trico bomb like a boss. All is forgiven for the Vib Ribbon trolling last year.

tanukisuit1041d ago

Hmmm, can you clarify about the Vib Ribbon part?

Abriael1041d ago

I'm a bit confused too lol.

Acquiescence1041d ago

He kept mentioning Vib Ribbon in a way that seemed to suggest he was going to announce a sequel or something. Instead, nothing came of it and we got random ass Mortal Kombat X footage instead. It was quite mortifying for anyone who was a fan of the game back in the day.

WickedLester1041d ago (Edited 1041d ago )

I won't lie. I had to Google it after Shawn mentioned it at last year's conference. I was like "what the hell is Vib Ribbon." LOL!

WizzroSupreme1041d ago

The CoD partnership is gonna pay off for Sony in a very huge way this holiday with the franchise sitting pretty off the coattails of Advanced Warfare.
