The Nintendo Digital Event may have disappointed, but Wii U won't this holiday season.
Yeah, exactly. Not a blow-away press conference, but between Mario Maker, Xenoblade and Star Fox, I know which console I'll be playing the most of this holiday season.
mario maker is interesting, but definitely nothing long term for me the other two? pass...
wii u still exists wow ..
Watch Super Mario Maker fly off shelves around the world in September. Go to Best Buy right now and you will see it all up in yo face. haha
yes because it an object. But you will cease to exist one day. See how that works.
ya but they didnt show enough games, they didnt mention Devils third at all or fatal frame? seems like they dont even care at all
watched the video direct and was left wondering what was the point? we knew about all those games except for maybe the tennis one but it was expected any ways. looks like the wii u is left to pasture now and i will not be surprised to see zelda either get delayed for the new system or come out on both the wii u and the new system. next year we will see a new nintendo console, that's my bet.
Nintendo is starting to face the harsh reality where they alone simply can't keep the console a float. Sure developing for 3DS is still cheap and relatively fast but Ps4/XB1 generation is completely different story when it comes to big budget games. Sure they make great games but 2-5 great games a year for a system just isn't enough these days. Not when competition is swimming 3rd party games. They need a lot more than tech to fix this
And those future games don't include metroid apparently. Do you get it yet?
oh so you must know all the games releasing in 2016-2018 sure it would be amazing to have it shown if it was far into development.
ffs e3 is about announcements not milking announcements from years prior. The only reason the holiday season has games is to stretch out Wii U's last year with games that were supposed to be out already and a rushed, n64 looking Starfox borefest. I love Nintendo but the only thing they showed their fans at this years e3 was the shaft.
Yeah games do matter but we don't need to see more of the games we already seen for the last 3 years! 3Ds games fine some of them were new but for the Wii U? Pah, their Direct was abysmal, and there was so much filler with silly skits and developer diaries.
It's the same old thing from the Nintendo apologists like this website and the blindly loyal diehard fans: excuses, excuses, excuses. When will they actually step up and demand better products from Nintendo? When will they stop pointing fingers everywhere else but at the company that brought them such huge disappointments? Where is the accountability?
It was trash this year. It was made even worse by the realization that star fox doesn't even have multi-player! This has to be one of the dumbest decisions they've ever made and they make a lot of them!
Nintendo didn't announce anything and ignored half of the games they do have, and that is the problem. They didn't even give devil's third and fatal frame the Direct light, but animal crossing amiibo festival (how did the thing pass) All the good games are going to do badly and the bad games are going to do okay. Mario maker, xenoblade, and starfox will do alright but everything else is being sent to die.
