FC Barcelona star Neymar Jr. (the press release dictates the necessity of the Jr.) has been announced as the cover star for PES 2016.
Messi would have been a better choice :P
Neymar won the golden boot this year, I'm just glad it's not Ronaldo again.
So Messi's the poster boy for FIFA and Neymar for PES...talk about domination.
Rumors say it will be a 2 face cover, one of Neymar running and the other of Neymar simulating a faul on the floor.
Haha good one. Or maybe scoring with his hand and taping on his shoulder.
Lol nymar simulation game in the making.
And the other of Neymar having scored the most goals on UCL..
As long as Ronaldo is M.I.A. i'm good. Neymar has been over hyped forever but now he's starting to earn his stripes. I personally don't expect him to amass the career Messi has, but he is a super talent and that much is clear. Rumor is that Messi and Hope Solo are fighting for the fifa cover. Hope will beat the shi* out of Messi, it's what she does best
glad they're putting Neymar
Wher's my Freddy Adu cover? He was the 1st pick and scored 5 goals as a mid in the MLS at 14 years of age, he was anointed the next Pelé and was a 2 time MLS all-star by the age of 18. The only player to have hat tricks in the U17 and U20 cup tournaments, he was harassed by European clubs and offered six figure contracts at 10 years old. As an 8 year old he humiliated US college soccer players in pickup games. Benfica had to have him and payed 2million to transfer him overseas at age 18. Everything seemed lined up for him to be the starring player on the US team in the 2014 world cup, considering he was doing reasonably well at 18 you'd of thought by the 2014 cup he would be 24 and arguably in his physical prime ready to dominate the world and give US soccer the jolt it needed - he was supposed to succeed Landon Donovan as the face of US soccer. Fast forward to 2014 and beyond ("Beyond, Beyond") Adu failed to make the US team and has bounced around Europe unable to stick with any team. He honestly has had trouble making ANY legitimate team recently. He is hardly even a pro footballer at this point let alone a legend of the sport. Why did fast foot Freddy fail? What happened? Too much too soon? Was it the affair with young singing sensation "JoJo"? Was it the remorse of a brother named "Fro"? Did his body not mature to support his skillset? He is only 5 foot 8 (listed) 140lbs. Or was it Nike and USA soccer's fault for not pushing him to go to the proper European academies and youth development programs where he would've gotten proper training with ppl his own age in the best soccer nests in the world. Throwing him into MLS at 14 was a mistake and crippled his development, he almost got worse the older he got. He never learned the tactical fundamentals necessary to showcase his spoils of talent. The media didn't help, but all together America ruined Freddy Adu and wasted his talent. Will Mr. Adu re-dedicate himself? Will he find that spark which ignites a self revolution? Or will he end up being the Sega Saturn of soccer? I bet you he still has quick feet and an effective penalty kick. I would love to work with him on strength and conditioning and quick twitch explosion training. Here's hoping the "next one" pans out , and no one can take away what he did on the U17 and U20 teams.
