Is the Blue Bomber enough to steal back all the goodwill that Capcom has lost over the years?
They need to show that they can still *MAKE* games. Not just re-release them.
Bring back Megaman Legends 3 and we'll talk.
I don't know why people keep bringing up Megaman Legends 3. The two first games were bad, got bad reviews, sold poorly, and somehow people act like a third game in the series would save Megaman.
I want the megaman x series...
Add Megaman legends and port it to Vita
This is exactly what I feared would happen if the RE:master sold well. Instead of them realizing they need to change direction and focus on catering to their classic fan base (what most thought that would result in), they did exactly what clueless, money-hungry old men do: they have focused on repeating that success verbatim with everything they can. You won't see a new title out of capcom until people stop buying the remasters. Even then, it'll probably be mobile. Capcom is dead, folks. This is just their last gasp.
Capcom is the master of misunderstanding consumers. When Resident Evil 4 sold well, instead of realizing it happened because of its mix of horror and action, Capcom said "so action sells!" and started making Resident Evil with tons of action. When Resident Evil 4 sold well on Wii, instead of realizing it happened because Wii gamers wanted more hardcore RE games, Capcom decided to make light gun games. Now when Resident Evil Remake sold well, instead of realizing it happened because gamers wanted the classic RE feel, they decided that what gamers want is more lazy ports.
not in a billion years.
See what you did there...
When an old ass collection from PS2, Gamecube era had more games ? Hell no this collection is half assed
They need to do better than that the mega man collection and x collection alone in their day was better than this if they want to impress us with this than they have to have every mega man game in the collection all mega man games otherwise it's a bust
that picture makes me miss playing megaman legends. :(
That's a task that only God could accomplish. A brand new proper Megaman, RE, SF V being great, DMC 5 being amazing, and a new great IP might pull them out of flatlining, though. They are on the craziest remaster kick I've ever seen. I'm not against remasters in general, but they've gone a bit wild with it.
One must first die to be resurrected.
What a slap in the face. They have 10 regular MM games, 8 MMX games, and a ton of spinoff series. So they package up 6 games and call it a collection? No thanks. I'd rather hook my GC back up and play the "collections" from that era.
I wish Mega Man Universe didn't get cancelled those years ago. It would have been awesome to play through a Mega Man game as a bunch of different Capcom characters like Ryu and Arthur from Ghosts and Goblins. Also, customizable characters and levels? Come on that sounds awesome. Now THAT may have revived them. Yet instead they cancelled it for some stupid reason. Oh well...
Man I would love to replay and platinum Megaman Legends 1 & 2 remastered. Make that happen. Then bring me Megaman Legends 3 and make Hyper Super Duper Street Fighter V multiplatform and stop splitting your damn fanbase.
Or, just make it all sony exclusive. No more split fanbase :}
Not by a long shot. But I'm sure Mega Man Legends 3 for new gen consoles could.
If Street Fighter 4 and Resident Evil HD dont it ,why should Megaman Legacy do that?
Asking if a collection of the first 6 games is gonna save Capcom... When the anniversary collection that came out a decade ago had games 1-8. This is LAZY even by Capcom standards.
No sorry when your relying on 30 year old games to hold your company up it won't work
