This former Microsoft dude really seems to appreciate PS4... and Apple products.

All is forgotten Adam. I'm looking forward to playing Adr1ft in VR.

All is not forgotten. #Dealwithit

his top game should be DLC ...not a specific game's DLC just plain DLC ....just straight up money to a NEt

DigitalRaptor3033d ago

Sorry, I meant all is FORGIVEN.

;)

Seem to happen when one is let go for being an a-hole , but that's okay he going to have to deal with his game being a failure . The quicker that happen this dude will be lost in the shuffle of the industry .

jb2273033d ago

How is his game being a failure some kind of foregone conclusion? If you'll recall, Greenberg also said something when asked what the service men & women of the U.S. military would have to do in order to play Xbox games w/o an internet connection to the effect of "We have an option for them, it's called the 360". So no one let go of that a-hole. Orth fell on the sword for MS' mistakes. They canned him as a way to save face in light of a bad vision & business decision that he had no bearing over. What he said was definitely messed up, but that dude deserves redemption, and people searching for as much typically work twice as hard as those w/ nothing to prove. Adrift looks like it could be a great title to me.

ScorpiusX3033d ago

@jb227 Greenberg been around a bit longer and much more likable, That statement was a Merrick statement and he was sent on his way and Orth game is to suffer for his comments .

rainslacker3033d ago (Edited 3033d ago )

Orth didn't fall on his sword. He was let go because he was the target of a lot of criticism, which was making it's way back to MS, and MS didn't want to address it. They thought it would just go away or something. They didn't address it until asked directly in an interview where they couldn't dodge the question.

He was let go because he wasn't a spokesman for MS, and he was becoming that, even though his comments were not meant to incite the masses, as it was a "private" conversation in a public place.

He doesn't need any redeeming IMO. He gave his opinion, and that's fair enough. He wasn't speaking on behalf of MS when he made his comments. His comments were crass and insensitive, but they are his opinions, and his offenses towards others are just offenses towards them, not towards the industry or gamer at large.

Now, that being said, he's always been kind of a douche when speaking about certain topics. He's kind of like Cliffy B in this regard, with the exception that at least Cliffy B is usually spot on with his assessments...just wrong in the timing and the scope, and terrible at presenting it without coming across as a pretentious a-hole.

To me, the whole incident just seems like a prime example of why social media should be banned from companies, because people in general are just terrible at expressing things properly on behalf of a company, and the internet blows things way out of proportion to make things seem like they are more than they actually are.

freshslicepizza3033d ago

instead of talking about any of the games on his list you'd rather center your attention on the rivalry between microsoft and sony? not surprised

it's obvious this guy is kind of a casual gamer. one of the few lists to ignore fallout 4, witcher 3 and bloodborne.

DigitalRaptor3033d ago

@ Moldybread

Try to "expose" me again are you?

I talked about his list being PS4 and iOS games, which is what it was.

And I'm really looking forward to his game Adr1ft. Do you have a problem with that or are you on another article trying to make my the discussion about ME again? Pathetic.

freshslicepizza3033d ago (Edited 3033d ago )

he also worked for ea and lucasarts but you never mentioned that.

as far as his list goes the only ones that really interest me are mgs5 and rocket league which i have. the others are just very generic.

A pretty awful list, I mean, he picked Lara Croft Go, over Rise of The Tomb Raider.

TFJWM3034d ago

Considering one is 86 on metacritic and one is 83 you can't see why someone would pick one over the other?

LucasRuinedChildhood3033d ago

I just think one is obviously better. Maybe it's just because I haven't really been won over by phone games, and would rather a more traditional experience.

bradleejones3034d ago

Uhhh... Lots of mobile games... Yikes!

rainslacker3033d ago

Maybe he lives out in the boonies and can't get fast enough internet speed to download the bigger games.

chrisx3034d ago

Lol no xbox game? Guess some1s still salty he got fired. He should #dealwithit

TFJWM3034d ago

Umm what xbox game should be on his list? Only one I would think would be Ori and maybe he didn't like it that much...

You Must Build A Boat (SteamFirst Review)-I Have An Issue With The Title Of This Game

SteamFirst:The match three puzzler. Due to the overly pervasive nature of the genre combined with the easy to learn mechanics, this genre tends to rank somewhere between Farmville and urethral herpes on the scale of derision for your average hardcore gamer. I have made no bones about enjoying these games in the past, but I am certainly in the minority.
