At the end of 2013 the rumours started. Fallout 4 was coming. Set in the greater Commonwealth of Boston, Massachusetts, there was talk of mercenaries and Minutemen fighting for survival in the tube-driven post-apocalyptic wasteland. It was all complete rubbish. A cruel hoax, made up by trolls intent on inflicting suffering on poor unsuspecting fans of the fantastic Fallout 3. Vicious bastards.
But, just because someone made it all up, it didn’t stop the rumours. Leading into this year’s E3, speculation was rife again. Bethesda, the publisher responsible for The Elder Scrolls and 2008’s Fallout 3, was going to announce Fallout 4! At least that’s what reliable internet sources were posting, as opposed to the unfounded lies of 2013.
