Awesome!
And the next goal, asynchronous multiplayer, sounds like it'll offer some worthwhile stuff, too!

Based on the description of asynchronous multiplayer, it appears to add a soul series multiplayer feel to the game.

You see the movements of your friends during boss fights and spots where other players have died.

Will the Wii U version be able to be the same as the PS4/XONE version?

I hope they don't dumb down the game so that all versions are the same.

Segata1293d ago

Wii U can run UE4 just fine. Stop believing the haterade. Wii U is quite powerful.

deadpoolio3161292d ago

NO IT CAN'T..Damn when the people who created the engine come out and say that the Wii U cannot then its FACT...No matter what you Nintendo cult members believe, its not some conspiracy to kill Nintendo IT ACTUALLY CAN'T

Even if the graphics take a hit, which I doubt considering the kind of awesome yet non-taxing art style it uses, they've got Armature on the job.
These guys know their Nintendo hardware (they're a part of the reason why Metroid Prime was so awesome), and if we hit that Vita goal, you can be sure they'll do a fantastic job there as well.

They're not like Slightly Mad: their portfolio and experience is solid enough that there's pretty much zero chance that the Wii U version will be dumbed down, especially in the gameplay department.

Yeah, there's plenty of pretty 2D cross-gen games that look virtually the same across all console platforms at 1080p60 specs.

There shouldn't be any reason to worry about potential compromises, especially with another studio being contracted to develop the port.

Just look at Rayman Legends. Same across all platforms, even the Vita.

I expect the same for this.

KTF261293d ago

What if the game isn't demanding?

DoggyBiscuit1292d ago

Is a 2D game They could a made this game for the last gen if they wanted to, Yea the Wii U is underpower but the Wii u can definitely handle this game

Yes one of the stretch goals is a vita port! Hope they achieve that.

KryptoniteTail1293d ago

We need to hit the Vita goal. I did my part and I'm trying to get everyone I know to do it.

Jyndal1293d ago

What exactly is this game? I haven't heard of it. If it's something cool to get for Wii U, I definitely want in on it, mine's been collecting dust for weeks now.

WPX1293d ago

It's a spiritual successor to Iga's Castlevania series.
With gameplay more like SOTN, Aria of Sorrow or Order of Eclessia instead of the Mercury Steam Series (Lords of Shadow series)

Splatoon just launched- what's wrong with you?

Seriously though, Splatoon is one of the greatest games I've played in the last 10 years. It's fantastic. It made me rage hard when I was losing a lot of matches- I haven't raged that hard since the days of GoldenEye. But I also haven't played a game as addictive and fun in the last 10 years either- this game sits among Giants such as Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem and Zelda.

Definitely the funnest shooter I've ever played in my life. I'm not exaggerating.
