The official Twitter account of Need For Speed shared some interesting information about the latest part in this legendary racing series.
"Need for Speed includes both multiplayer and single player." So why the need to connect online? Also, no cockpit camera view sucks.
"NFS will require an online connection, but the benefits are nice. More variety and a more rewarding experience with friends." Please, can you be more vague! /s And they say they were listening to fans.. Online only is like one of the least liked things amongst gamers in general.. "Being connected will allow your friends to be part of your narrative experience, something only possible through connected play." ... MAKE IT AN OPTION NOT A REQUIREMENT.Some one should stick this to every game developers forehead.. EA needs it tattooed on their forearms for daily reminder, since they obviously already forgot about simcity. Boy this is already shaping up to be a let down already, but imma keep my judgments reserved. As it stands right now this game is a pirate, and i'm not ashamed to admit that.I hold my racers to very high standards lol. I hope more developers like Colossal Order pop up and start making these games EA make's the way they need to be made.
No cockpit?! Fock!!! Dagonit!Come on EA.. idc if you half to darken the inside of the car and focus more on the windshield shapes...put in cockpit view!!! Or at least put it in a FREE update Edit: you know what...if there will be mods on PC, I might just pick it up for that version. As much as I wanna play it on PS4 :(
If they're hiding info regarding if the game will be 30fps locked on pc, then it will have 30fps lock on pc like last year. Guilty until proven innocent.
Let's just wait until we see the game in action before rendering such negative opinions
NO, SCREW LOGIC WHEN IT COMES TO VIDEO GAMES!
All my disagrees lmao at least they're doing something new with NFS and I'm looking forward to seeing gameplay
we've seen enough NFS games to know what to expect.
You can do that, but imma react to the news I just got .. if thats alright with you?
"Dedicated servers" Like rivals?? Had to switch hosts in those "dedicated servers"
Bloodborne: Cooperative and competitive online play in a narrative-based game experience NFS: Cooperative and competitive online play in a narrative-based game experience Bloodborne: "Would you like to play through the game online or offline today?" NFS: "Cannot connect to EA servers."
But let's hope it's not that drastic, right?
It is though, they confirmed that you literally cannot play the game unless you're connected online.
I hate when devs think they know better than us what would be a 'rewarding experience'. To me, gaming with my friends was never as rewarding as coming home after an exhausting day of work, kicking off my shoes and just shutting off while I lose myself in a game. Just me and the game. Nothing else. But you go ahead and tell me what a rewarding experience is for me, EA. Please.
Well said, I feel exactly the same. And I will most certainly be skipping this game, even though I own almost every previous NFS game on multiple platforms.
I'm with you on this. Few things are more rewarding than putting in a game and being able to play without having to deal with the repercussions of their decision to make it online-only.
I feel this is the very reason I'm playing less and less games
It's rewarding. Not for you, but for EA's bank account. This way players are compelled to "keep up with the Jones'" in terms of purchasing DLC.
I will avoid this game like the plague it is.
And EA just ruined the reboot I have waited for a decade... Retarded always online requirement... Even if it is a good game I'm gonna pirate the shit out of it! (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻
It better not require to have online connection to play single player mode. I don't want to be bothered by ramfest players while i'm playing and trying to get feeling of the game!
I think that's exactly what it's going to be. :(
Ugh no cockpit view.
Jesus christ, what the hell is wrong with these morons? It's like they have a total disregard for what the community actually wants. "What's that? They want cockpit view and no always-online bullshit? No, they're mere consumers, they don't know what they want. Let's give them the EXACT opposite. And charge them another $60 for DLC to teach them a lesson!" F*cking stupifying.
Stop jizzing already..
Forza all the way
I can already see a "Locked at 30fps" which for a racer is a joke, especially for my PC. Combine this with always online and no cockpit view and I have absolutely zero interest in this game. Enough with the 30fps garbage already and gimping PC games for consoles.
Another EA game crashes and burns...
you think EA and Ghost games learnt from Criterions mistake , apparently not.
I hardly think Criterion did anything they weren't contracted to do. by EA.
Looks like i won't be buying any EA games this year. First rule of customer service = the customer is always right! Gives us what we want and stop telling us "what we need"
I for one will keep faith in this game unlike most of you here. With both EA and Ubisoft
I'm still excited for the reveal. I've been waiting for a Underground 3/Reboot for just over a decade now. They finally listened, waited for PS4/Xbox One and even took an extra year to make it. So far reading "urban car culture, night time open-world racing, more customization than ever before (hopefully more than UG2)" and seeing the teaser showing off some awesome cars, made me so excited! This might finally be the first NFS I get at launch since Carbon!
and just when i started to change my opinion about EA and thought they're turning good and learning from their mistakes guess not...
old habits die hard.
What happens when you wanna play this game a few years from now and the servers are no longer working? Is your disc basically a coaster now?
Dedicated servers huh? that's what they all say.. we'll see.
you cant spell stEAl without EA!!!!
Damn this game already sucks and their is like no gameplay footage yet...
So its ok when you can't see your body or legs on COD but no cockpit view bet get the pitchforks and torches out.
