PC Mag: For a possible hint of Nintendo's phone gaming future, look no further than Puzzle & Dragons Z + Super Mario Bros. Edition ($29.99). This puzzle/RPG hybrid for the Nintendo 3DS$199.99 at Dell not only combines Nintendo's most popular franchise with Japan's most popular mobile game series, it also combines two whole games in one package. Quality varies between the two halves, and both suffer from occasionally unbalanced difficulty, but this supersized take on Puzzle & Dragons definitely trumps its free-to-play mobile game predecessors.
VGChartz's Craig Snow: "Puzzler retail releases are quite rare on consoles, with perhaps the most well-known in recent years being Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, so it's a genre where the nominations are often dominated by the handheld arena or from surprise indie hits. This year is no different in that respect - three of the nominees below are handheld-only titles, and the other two are downloadable indie titles, and we fully expect that at least one of them will be unfamiliar to the majority of our readers. Hopefully this award will give all of the nominees listed below a little bit more exposure; they certainly deserve it."

Edition is a neat little bundle of two different takes on the very popular Puzzle & Dragons mobile franchise. Each seems to have the ultimate purpose of trying to better appeal to the traditional gaming audience and to help shake off the stigma that the franchise carries thanks to its micro-transaction laden origins.
