Here, we rave about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's standard edition that features a thank you letter from the developers and more free goodies we could ask for.
RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

During CD Projekt’s Fiscal Year 2023 earnings call, CEO Michael Nowakowski said that the company is keen on licensing its IP rights to third-party developers to create mobile adaptations of its titles.
CD Projekt, the developer behind The Witcher/Cyberpunk 2077, has stated that there is no place for microtransactions in single-player games.
MP games need micros to keep the lights on. Path of Exile is a good game with micros. It can be done as long is the game is not the scheme itself.
I agree, I never pay for microtransactions, and in the few cases where I have, I've felt dirty afterwards, especially when older games used to give you so much content for free (like cosmetics).
I was really surprised by the 'Thank you' note. It broght back memories of pouring over game manuals back in the day, and looking through the game artwork. Why don't we get that anymore anyway?
I hope other publishers will follow this example.
I could tell that it was loaded with goodies just by the weight of the case! It was so refreshing to open a game up and have it be filled with content (on disc and off), rather than being asked to purchase more.
But why would developers or publishers do that when they can cut content from main game only to sell it later as dlc expansion packs
Why would they change when we have a lot of gamers defend these bad practices
Why would they change when there are $40 to $50 season passes. Looking at you forza 5 (which launched with less cars, tracks and over content than forza 4)
Until we as gamers change don't expect anything to change
And now so many are excited about next star wars yet EA won't even include all the modes and content that was available on past star wars games. But guess what they expect it to sell 10 million without a single player story and a lot less content, but don't worry it will have a season pass too
CD PROJECT RED ARE INDEPENDENT
THEY OWN THE IP FOR WITCHER
THEY OWN CYBERPUNK 2077
THEY CONTROL THEIR OWN DESTINY
But than we have bungie who also own destiny IP yet they took out content from the main game to late sell as dlc. This is a proven fact by those play testers who have said when they played it earlier it had a much more content
But guess what we will get dlc and millions of gamers will play it and defend it even though it didn't deliver on many aspects that it was advertised to be
What CD project red are doing is a dying breed kind of thing. Don't get use to it. now a days buy the game and pay 40 for season pass before the game comes out without knowing what content we will actually get. But don't worry trust us we will deliver but do give us 100 dollars up front
-----''-------
And I know this won't be a popular thing to say but it's time to raise the price of AAA games to over 70 maybe 75. The development cost has gone way up and developers/publishers are and will try their best to get every cent back
Game prices have stayed the same for a long time. No matter how much you hate this thought but it's time to raise the prices, but only if it means less of content cut from main game to sell as dlc
No matter what you say it's a proven fact that game prices need to go up to cover the costs , now whether it happens or not we will see. But if games remain at 60 than expect 40 to 50 dollars of season pass and a lot of content cut from games to later sell as dlc
This was a huge reason why I bought the game in the first place because truth be told I had no interest to purchase it until I found out all the goodies in it. I hope this game sells well and I hope this helps empower us, the consumer.
