Microsoft working on further strengthening its online infrastructure.
According to a job listing. As usual being a gamingbolt article.
Lol. I'm actually happy that MS is constantly looking into improving xbox live, also Halo 5 needs to have a smooth launch. From day one, online mp has to be perfect.
A better strategy would probably be to improve recovery time, so when DDoS events do occur they can come back up faster. This might be exactly the same thing as "improving up-time" I suppose.
Considering the fact that recovery time is faster than rival consoles. . I'd say you've got it twisted.
I don't know the stats for MS but the last Lizard Squad attack on PSN left me in the dark for 28 minutes (I was buying mortal kombat on PSN store, literally in checkout). That's not too shabby. Not trying to squash your statement, and I'm sure it took much longer for many others, but where are your stats?
Did he mention Sony at all? I don't agree with his sentiment that they should focus on recovery time over and above prevention, but I really don't see what rival consoles have to do with it. Edit: Ah balls, I commented on a GamingBolt "article" :(
Seriously... Gaming bolt is getting out of hand with these rumor articles. Something tells me if they ever got ahold of the scrap of paper that an intern used to write down the lunch order run, they'd report that MS is branching out into the food service industry. Edit: this was supposed to be a reply to infected's comment... Thanks n4g mobile site!! 😕
It better, because party chat and online matchmaking are atrocious right now
That's good. Now if they can also speed up install time for digital and disc based games. That's the only thing I don't like about the Xbox One
Wait, the slow installs bother you more than the constantly laggy UI? The slow loading core apps such as friends, achievements, party chat?
Yes. Because I've had no problems with the core apps... They load every time I use them
I just ordered a dominos pizza using the app on xbox. It was....kind of cool :)
Microsoft is on a roll – don't mess it up, guys!
