Yay, another piece of my childhood that I won't be sharing with my kids. Good job, you suck.

mixelon2626d ago

I have no problems showing content with LGBTQ characters to my daughter. It's smart to acknowledge stuff like this exists should they come into contact with it later and be confused.

Different strokes I guess.

Ogygian2626d ago (Edited 2626d ago )

To be honest, I don't see the problem with it either.

As long as it doesn't seem like it's been jammed in for political correctness. Normally, this kind of thing can absolve itself by doing something politically incorrect at the same time to prove that it is more nuanced.

Aenea2626d ago

Wait! What?

What is in the game that you can't share it with your kids? The mere mention of a character having been married to a same-sex partner?

Will that scar them for life or something? I think it's good that kids learn early on that it's a normal thing, that way if one of your kids happens to be homosexual (or bisexual) than they will feel less ashamed about it. If they happen to be heterosexual they will not act weird around people who are not.

This IS a good thing, it's silly to avoid this type of stuff...

Featuring_Dante2626d ago

"normal"
sure, buddy, if you like your kids getting touched.

Aenea2626d ago

@Featuring_dante

You are confusing pedophiles with homosexuals/lesbians...

If your parents hadn't sheltered you, you would have known the difference...

Someone grab a mic, Aenea needs to drop one

Can't tell if the PC tag is referring to personal computer or politically correct

ecchiless2626d ago

xD... oh man that was funny.

valormeer2626d ago

Why exactly is this considered "News"

rhap2626d ago

because its talking about gay stuff. somehow, gay stuff is mainstream now.

Injusticewarrior2626d ago

Wow.
Ground breaking, game changer!
Thanks femhype.com for this great news about this amazing game.

Nancy Drew series is so enlightened. I truly do not know how it managed all these years without a "queer character". Hold on to your seats. This franchise is about to soar to new heights!

Mexxan2626d ago

Well if it's got a bit of girl-on girl action, I'm in.
