a game like this just feels right on my Wii U. I realize the game will have to be tweaked slightly since Unreal Engine 4 isn't natively supported by the Wii U. Will have to be re-built using Unreal 3.5 most likely..

It's extra work on the developers part, though (as the quote suggests) Wii U can run UE 4.

yep, that's why I said it's not natively supported. People can definitely take the UE4 source code and modify it to cater to the Wii U. But the support isn't there for indie devs out of the box like it is for the other platforms, so it would require some extra work on their part to figure it out. Not sure if these devs would be willing to put in that effort or not.

I would love to see it done so it can prove to people that the Wii U can definitely handle the engine. It might also cause a ripple effect in which more people want to work with that engine on the Wii U. Or might even cause Epic to actually release a standard support tool for UE4 on the Wii U.

I know I'm gonna get flooded with downvotes by third party enthusiasts for saying this, but... if more third parties had made that kind of effort, maybe the Wii U's first year wouldn't have sucked so bad.
We'd have actually gotten complete games, and lots of new ones, including exciting exclusives just like the other systems were getting back when their own install bases were still low, that would have sold way better that what we actually got: mostly old ports with missing content...

But that's by-the-by: I'm sincerely hoping that this hits the goal.
I've been a Castlevania fan for years.
Heck, got myself a PSP, briefly, just to play SotN again, and I've owned basically all but the first three and the last two entries in the Lord of Shadows series, since then.
If this actually makes it to that goal, it'll have my money.

Side note: Konami, this is your wake-up call.
People still want 2D Castlevania titles on consoles!

I know.. we've been discussing that over in the comments section. I backed this thing at a high level and was always hoping for a Wii U version. Now it looks like it is gonna happen.
