Great news for those who were planning on buying The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at midnight, as GameStop has begun selling the game early.
GameStop just called me to pick it up! Ciri, here I come!
Getting 40 frames average. 1080p with everything turned to the max.
Disable the hair, not worth it imho. Reach those 60fps!
My digital preorder on xb1 unlocked at around 9pm local time(eastern)
How's the Xbox One performance? A lot of people that's got the game and started playing it are saying the frame pacing is atrocious. Some even saying they just can't enjoy the game and will wait until it's fixed. If it gets fixed that is. I'm on the fence about getting it now.
Are you serious? I switched my pre order from the ps4 to the Xbox one because I wanted to play it on my preferred platform. That is disappointing :(
I am having absolutely no issues at all. Its absolutely gorgeous and no noticeable FPS drops, even when in combat and with backgrounds. Seems that CDPR really knocked it out the park with the X1 version as i can only comment on that one since i own it only on X1.
@EvilWay I'm just repeating what I've been hearing. It's not just one person either. Some people aren't as sensitive to frame pacing as others but it drives me crazy.
I've been watching twitch and nobody has complained about any of those issues. Where are you seeing these people who mentioning these claims. And I thought it was the ps4 that suffers from frame pacing?
@bananaboats Digital Foundry and quit a few people on NeoGaf. http://m.neogaf.com/showthr... "And I thought it was the ps4 that suffers from frame pacing?" According to those over Gamersyde PS4 isn't perfect either but Xbox One is far worse. I don't have the game yet myself.
I've been playing the Xbox One version of The Witcher 3 for about 4 hours now and so far I haven't encountered any noticeable frame rate issues. Performance seems solid on my end and nothing has broke immersion thus far. Only time I noticed any frame rate dips was for about 5 seconds in the opening cinematic.
Well most here say it's fine. Maybe I'll get it on Xbox One. I hope there's not much frame pacing issues because it will drive me crazy. Thanks for some feedback guys.
Upset my gamestop isn't doing a midnight release
My Gamestop rarely does midnight releases. They told me its all based on pre-order numbers.
Gamestop in Orlando sold two copies to me at noon today. Check my gamer tag.
My steam copy was ready around 7pm(eastern).
What the hell! I preordered from Dell.com with estimated release date delivery. Hasn't even shipped yet!
They probably mixed the order up cause they couldn't imagine why anyone would buy a game through dell?
Well, maybe because Dell gives free $15 to $25 gift cards with most big games coming out, as well as giving you 10% credit back and free 1 day shipping. Lol, unlike Gamestop who offers nothing. Point being, seems like this game has been breaking street dates with numerous places. Was wondering why Dell hasnt done the same was all. No need to be a smart ass, because you werent smart enough to get my point. Your name fits you cupcake!
I realize it's meant to be from Geralt's perspective, but I really wish I could customize my character more in these games.
My Gamestop is about an hour away. They called me at 8:30 to say I could pick it up early but I had to be there by 9:00 when they closed. My cousin was driving and I'm pretty sure he broke the speed limit the whole way there, but we made it there with 10 minutes to spare. Been playing it for about 2.5 hours on PS4 and I must say I'm loving it. I loved Dragon Age Inquisition, but this game is so much deeper and more complex. First BloodBorne and now this. If no other game lives up to the hype this year it'll suck, but CDPR delivered in spades if the opening few hours are anything to go by, and from what I hear the first few hours are the slowest.
Not sure if already known but... The only problem we have encountered is when you play the card game, it shuts the game down :/ so skip it if you are not sure about your last save. (PS4)
That happend to my son in his game. I haven't played the card game and probably won't.
