Someone new to the Witcher III series tells you if its safe to play Wild Hunt without beating its predecessors.
The names and background may confuse a rookie, but otherwise, it's easy to dive into The Witcher 3.
I want to dive into this so bad. But I feel like if I do, I'll never touch the first two games again. Had 'em both for years (and still going through the first game).
In less than 24 hours, this game shall finally be mine!
Yup... 20 minutes in, I'm sold.
Me too. Already getting interested in the story thanks to the solid dialogue. And to the people still bitching about the downgrade, the game is beautiful. It may not look like it did but Im sure not complaining.
Beautiful ain't the word man. downright phenomenal. There was literally one brick wall texture where i was like WHAT? lol. but literally everything else looks amazing.
I'm very happy with the way it looks. I couldn't care less if some things were downgraded when the end result looks this good. This game feels more alive than any game I can remember. There's such a sense of place, such atmosphere...it really draws you in.
What's captivated you so far, Letthewookiewin?
I'm in love with this game.
My father's getting it in 11 hours and 36 minutes and I get back rom school in 19 hours
Less then 3 hours for me
The thought of going in fresh with no Witcher experience (except for starting TWII and quitting immediately) was a bit daunting at first. But after completing Bloodborne having never touched a Souls game, nothing scares me now. I'm ready for The Witcher, just waiting for my copy to arrive.
It's great so far, but I felt the controls and combat are not as good as The Witcher 2.
My local Gamestop broke street date so I got mine a few hours ago. I'm going to hate having to go to bed...this game is so beautiful.
Playing on the ps4 first time playing the series and unfortunately I just don't like the controls. I loved souls bloodborne skyrim and even enjoy assassins creed games. The controls just seem to loose to me. I'm going to stick with it because the story and environment got me in just don't know how long it will keep my interest. Also is anyone else experiencing lags when you start to fight someone? It's kind of annoying.
I wonder if the lag is due to frame rate issues? Have you tried installing the day one patch? Maybe that will fix it. I'm patiently waiting for my copy to arrive. Your honesty is much appreciated.
Ya the day one patch is installed. Don't get me wrong it is an absolutely stunning game everything looks and and sounds perfect with minor lags in frame rate. For me it usually happens as soon as I encounter an enemy or out of a cutscene definitely not game breaking. Just a nuissance. I don't know if a patch can fix it, just due to the size of the game it's incredibly massive. I hope I'm able to enjoy the combat eventually once I ability up more.
