A look as to whether or not The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Expansion Pass is going to be worth purchasing.
I already have my money down for it. so yes it is to me
The article is to evaluate whether or not the season pass is worth purchasing, it is not about whether or not you will buy it.
Hence the last part of my sentence. "It is(worth it) to me"
They know how to DLC right, so I'll definitely give them my money.
Really depends on how much you enjoy the game first. I never buy a pass first without playing the game first.
Yeah I made that mistake with Destiny. Never happening again. Not until I know exactly what im getting in the pass.
Lol this article really offers nothing to determine whether or not the expansion pass is worth buying. Nothing more than clickbait, really. I already have the expansion pass preordered with the game because it adds two expansions, late 2015/early 2016, that add an additional 30 hours to the game for $25. Yeah, that spells out worth it in nice, bold letters. CD Projekt Red is an admirable company; even when releasing a season pass/expansion pass, it's worth the asking price. Unlike most developers who release a season pass and give you worthless content that should have been in the game to start with and that you can certainly live without, like additional weapons or a car or a two-minute side mission.
You just repeated what the article told us, but called it clickbait. That said, I do agree that if you love the Witcher and CD PROJEKT Red, then, yes, it's definitely worth it.
Just like any other pass my first answer would be no. Due to the deceit they've been using on the fans, i would say no. I guess that settles it.
Must be a crazy upset pc user who thinks cdpr is out to kill their first born child because they didn't spend time optimising the game for a 3 thousand dollar computer
What deceit? The 100+ hrs of quality gameplay in a gorgeous, gigantic world? Or the free dlc that comes with it? Or the season pass that actually offers more gameplay than most games? Or is it their stellar reputation? Or did you read a Conan article on here? I don't care if their original trailer shown 3 yrs ago on a high end PC looks better. Of course it should. Those trailers are basically "shoot for the moon" concept trailers.
The game is getting 16 free dlc of stuff everyone else would sell or include solely in a pass . Even at 2 dollars each dlc per our current market , it's 32 dollars worth of content . People complain all the time about dlc pratices and season passes , it's time they practice what they preach
Duh it's one of the first and only season passes worth purchasing ever released so far , in term of contents .
How do articles like this get approved? There is no insight in the games DLC, other than the single player is huge and you already get free DLC, so you might want to pass, unless you're a fan. You should never really buy a season pass, unless you want to support the devs. In the long run, you don't save that much money and by the time the DLC comes out. You could have moved on to another game (expmale, the evil within). Skyrim had great DLC and I cannot imagine someone writing, well the game is already plenty big, you might want to pass. You need to have played the DLC/the game to tell readers any opinions to buy or pass. B
"How do articles like this get approved?" N4G is set up in a way where things get blindly approved and reports are usually more hassle than they're worth. Since you need to approve 5 articles for every 4 you submit or something like that, you can't submit duplicate news articles and a lot of the people submitting simply don't care, you have people blindly approve whatever and then it gets approved. Plus a lot of sites have multiple people associated with the site simply approve something or disagree with reports. As for reports go, I could report this for being lame and explain why I think its lame, but odds are people will just disagree, I might get a threat and ultimately sites aren't looking to make enemies (they support your lame articles and vice versa). "There is no insight in the games DLC, other than the single player is huge and you already get free DLC, so you might want to pass, unless you're a fan. " Yup, though even if they reveal a bunch of information, it doesn't really mean anything without having played it. Like for months we thought HoW would have a raid, turns out it doesn't and we got the hoard mode, but even though we know this, it's possible, albeit unlikely, that the hoard mode will really blow us away. "You should never really buy a season pass, unless you want to support the devs." Now this is very true. I've seen countless people get burned and odds are quite likely you'll save more money buying what you want, instead of just all of it.
I will know if it's worth purchasing after I complete the witcher 3...if I want need more witcher yeah it's worth it...if I'm burnt out...probably,not. No need to ever prepurchase dlc before the game even comes out
It's only worth it if you ever finish the core game, haha. The world's so dang big as it is.
After beating the core game without a doubt it is I think its 30 extra hours of gameplay adding on 10 for the first DLC 20 for the second and to me personally whatever number that is given for how long it is I think takes a little longer. So for $25 we really are getting our money worth. Already being a big fan of Witcher and the developer I still am gonna wait to buy the pass. By the time the first paid DLC comes out you might be able to find the pass on sale.
I'll play the game first and when the dlc comes out ill see if I want more. Maybe ill get lucky and get it in a sale.
For 30 extra hours I think it's worth it but probably after the main game and side quests!
No sense buying it now since it doesn't come out for months..
This game lives up to the hype. Ive been playing pretty much non stop all weekend i doubt im even halfway through but i already dont want it to end. I never played any witcher games before and did not care for skyrim or oblivion but this is already one of my all time favorite games. Ill be getting the expansions fo sho
Probably when it is actually available otherwise spend your $25 elsewhere
