Throwing Digital Sheep examines the recently announced PvP Survival Shooter, ARK: Survival Evolved and discusses why Studio Wildcard is daring to be different.
I have high hopes for this game. It looks absolutely beautiful.
It was pretty. It should be using UE4, running on max settings, and using a GTX 980. On consoles I already know it will look much worse. As long as it's a great game which it looks amazing I'd be happy.
I'm buying this game on Steam Early access as soon as its available. I like to support devs who take risks.
Hopefully it won't be another The Stomping Land. Supposedly alpha starts today, I'm looking foward to see some actual gameplay.
Anyone know if there is NDA for the alpha or can it be streamed?
Please, for the love of dinosaurs be good :) I hope they have SOME sort of cheat protection on release to at least minimize the damage from potential cheaters ,so many early access games starting off with nothing and destroys the population early on and then it's unable to regain player confidence !!
i hope the dino's and other monsters have good AI and are not just random and dumb. I liked that the t-rex can destroy defenses forces you to strategize. dinosaurs should be a constant threat, and come after you, not just sit there and wait for you to come around. there should be predators that seek you out. anyway, I just get frustrated with these kind of games sometimes because you spend your time building a base and then its like ok... now what... nothing attacks it (barring other players).
I hope its sound, smell and visual sensing !!! If you're building, the sound of constructing can draw predators to see what's going on or if they see a campfire going or the smell of meat cooking will draw them !!!
