Sony San Diego Director of Product Development confirms that the studio is targeting 1080p, 60 FPS with Kill Strain, and mentions that the beta is "incredibly imminent."
"Incredibly imminent". What does that even mean?
The closed beta is coming soon
Coming within hours or days
'imminenter' Yep, it's stupid.
Come on man, you coulda even looked up urban dictionary and got some definition although a bit crude most likely.. lol I want it now. It's like a LoL-sh game and I've had LoL on my PC uninstalled still...this will be something at least.
Didn't driveclub, Uncharted 4 also were targeting 1080p and 60fps and couldn't do it? And those were large retail games and if they are still trying to target 1080p and 60fps for a small game like Kill Strain, then that is not looking good for this gen consoles.
Its rather odd seeing someone commenting about a game not hitting 1080p 60fps, when their console of choice has issues hitting 1080p in general.
You mean my console of choice as in PC! You are welcome. I do hook up my PC rig to my 52 inch HD TV, if that is what you mean. For console exclusives, yes, I do favor the XB1 but that is because I can't play Halo, Forza, or Gears, Killer Instinct, Quantum Break on a PC. For the few exclusives I do have on PS4 like Bloodborne, this is what I am referring to as I would love to play that game at 60fps on PC, but hey, it is what it is due to the limitation of consoles. Giving the option, who wouldn't want to play Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight on 1080p or more and locked 60fps at max setting!?
Not as odd as seeing you being so defensive and go on the assault against the X1 when he was actually just speaking his mind without trolling.
@Rookie_monster for someone who likes to bash these current Gen consoles for not being able to always achieve 1080p @60fps, I'm a little surprised that you even have the xbone and ps4... so you say that is ;-)
PC's are not consoles Rookie. Back to school for you.
52 inch HDTV? Pleb. 120 inch projector master race!!! Get outta here with that 52 inches.
I'm sorry, can you tell me where you got your copy of Uncharted 4 from? I'd like to check out the framerate for myself.
At what point in time was it confirmed that UC4 wasn't going to do 60 FPS? Are you basing this statement off of pre-alpha gameplay?
Naughty Dog said it after PSX. They were making the game at 30fps as to not take away from the cinematic experience of the game.
@FattyBoy3D Naughty dog said they currently have it running over 30fps but they will put gameplay first. If while trying to get it at 6ofps they see that it is affecting the gameplay then they will make a decision to lock it at 30. No one from naughty dog ever said that it is definitely 30fps.
No UNcharted isn't out yet its not done how can you say they couldn't do it.
There's nothing wrong with having a target even if you don't hit it. It's part of the process. It's a goal. We don't alway meet our goals but we do the best we can to get there.
Uncharted 4 is and still are but DC they were plannning 1080p and 30 fps
You really are my favourite poster on here.
Not to be a Debbie Downer but every PS4 1st party Dev has come out so far and said they are targeting 1080 60 but only 1 has done it (MLB the show) not an overly demanding game. Is this gonna be different?
Not to be a Debbie Downer? BS. That is fully your intention.
Wow I never thought that Sony San Diego is also developing a sci-fi games other than Sports.. Oh wait, San Diego was the former 989 Studios that made Twisted metal and Syphon filter, am I right?
