Electronic Arts announced with a press release the launch in Japan of the EA Access service, with a monthly cost of 518 yen. Of course it’s available exclusively on Xbox One.
"Exclusively on Xbox One" Well, thank you Captain Obvious.
And by cheaper he means 60cent difference. I mean, really?
He isn't lying but nothing to make an article about at all lol
Damm that's nice....I wouldn't mind seeing similar services from other publishers so I can pick 'n choose from 1 or 2 other great deals.
True on great service. But those few X1 users in Japan would really add up to much. Could be a great selling tool for M$ with games like FIFA and Battle Front though.
Edit, reply below.
I have EA access but I wouldnt want every publisher doing this sort of thing. could get pricey and if said devs dont make enough games to warrant the sub service, it may be tricky to get your moneys worth. That said I like Access. I have bought Dragon age and hardline through it so far and will get starwars and mass effect aswell. I will have gotten back what I payed for access and then some.
@Moldiver "I wouldn't want every publisher doing this sort of thing. could get pricey and if said devs don't make enough games to warrant the sub service, it may be tricky to get your moneys worth." -Uhm your logic suggests you are FORCED to buy a subscription from EVERY publisher that makes one but you're not which is why I said "pick 'n choose". Also others may prefer a publisher who has less games in their portfolio because they just like the games that particular publisher has more= Options are better so everyone gets to decide for themselves.
"Uhm your logic suggests you are FORCED to buy a subscription from EVERY publisher that makes one but you're not which is why I said "pick 'n choose"." Lol, wow. I think you read TOO deeply into that. Who said anything about being forced? If a publisher makes enough descent games in a year, it suddenly becomes more tempting is all Im saying. As I said I have XBLA and EA access. Im no stranger to this sort of thing nor am I against it. Simply concerned that I may be roped in by good deals. being tempted by a nice deal is not the same as being forced. Im not sure how you managed to see my comment that way.
I'm not trying to argue with you but I responded to what your original post SAID, I cant assume you *meant something different. This specific comment from you indicates other subs might not be worth it because those pubs might not make enough games: "could get pricey and if said devs don't make enough games to warrant the sub service it may be tricky to get your moneys worth." Now you say: "Simply concerned that I may be roped in by good deals. being tempted by a nice deal is not the same as being forced. Im not sure how you managed to see my comment that way."= Thats a very different sentiment from saying they might not be worth it to now saying you just dont want to be tempted into more "nice deals". I only replied because your comment as worded didnt make sense or is at least confusing given this sub and any future subs are optional, but no big deal though.
Is that title really needed? We all know it's only on xbox, no need to provoke!
I guess that's good news for the 1 or 2 people in Japan that own an xbox one.
If you're gonna troll atlease be factual.......... It's 4 or 5 people.
I think PES is bigger in Japan, but the draw of FIFA 15 could be interesting.
PS4 is doomed in Japan. I mean how can they compete with Xbox One over there? IT"S EA ACCESS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Gamers just can no ignore the Xbox One in Japan anymore. PS4 is going to suffer a slow but sure death as Sony gets on its knees and begs for forgiveness not only from gamers but EA until they allow EA Access on their console. (This was sarcasm and if it took you think long to figure it out, the internet must be hell for you)
Those disagrees seem to confirm that people on the internet don't get sarcasm...... thankfully, us Europeans get it quite easily, so I can tell it was sarcastic all the way throughout the message, hence the agree :)
I'm actually surprised I got so many disagrees. I guess some people can't even handle fake Sony bashing or concern trolling.
