Publishers Are Missing Out on Potentially Big Games Because of Risk, But That's Okay

OnlySP: Publishers are really starting to become irrelevant in the gaming industry. With new sources of financing becoming ever more popular like Kickstarter and Patreon, publishers are really missing out on some of the games that people are most excited for.

The story is too old to be commented.

Kickstarter is really starting to take off. Almost every day now there's news about another game reaching its goal. Whilst I'm all for it I *personally* wouldn't want to spend my money funding a project unless I knew for sure that the final product would be something that I would love.

Kickstarter is the way to go to get games people want. We got Megaman and castlevania successor from it. The creators want to take risk and do something new or continue with certain titles but can't because the boss won't allow it via business wise. Some games like COD, AC, ETC are getting old. It's time for them to go back to other titles that haven't been seen in a long time and a successor other titles.
