InMyOpinion951d ago (Edited 951d ago )

Hey Ubisoft! Stop trying to milk the cow. It's been dead for years...

Jalva951d ago

Ubisoft is not the problem, we are.

Every time a new Assassin's Creed game is revealed it is greeted with hate and cynicism, as the months go by Ubisoft gets people gradually interested with some new bullshots and heavily scripted, polished up gameplay footage, then usually within a month from release Ubisoft release the story trailer and make it as epic as possible and everyone pre-orders it.

Then after the game releases you hear all the same ol' sh*t about how it's just the same boring uninspired glitch-ridden game, then the following year the exact same thing happens and every release turns out to be major financial success, it's quite comical actually.

"Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?".

nX951d ago

Just don't buy it guys, you won't be missing much... it's really hard for me to get excited about Assassin's Creed anymore.

nyctophilia13951d ago

I'm definitely getting this, just no way am I preordering. That ship has sailed, Ubisoft.

Kingdomcome247951d ago

@Carrot180994- Upon watching the gameplay reveal trailer with a buddy of mine, I mentioned the Gangs of New York similarities too.

Deividas951d ago

Crosses Fingers before watching..."Please be good, please be good"....-14 min later- "Damn"

UltraNova950d ago (Edited 950d ago )

@Jalva

Yes we are the problem here and always will be as long as we keep rewarding them (pre-orders/buying into their marketing hype)for screwing us over.

I mean is there anyone out there who cant see Syndicate is blatant re-skin of Unity?

(Disclaimer: didn't buy Unity nor will I and I wont buy another AC game until they take this franchise seriously again)

Buy the way I cant recall a more memorable and fun, in twisted kind of way, bad guy in film or game in recent years, Vas was the man!

mikeslemonade950d ago

You should be ashamed of yourself if you are planning on buying this game. I expect this to be even worst than Unity.

Completed Ac, AC2, Brotherhood, Ac3 then played 3/4 of AC black flag and lost interest, the naval part was kinda cool for a while but it wasnt enuff to make me finish the game, skipped Unity because it was broken at launch and honestly was burned out on the AC game series, the new AC better be mind blowing and add a lot of innovations or i will simply ignore it like i did with Unity, im just tired to see Ubisoft regurgitate AC each years.

averagejoe26951d ago

Same exact timeline for myself.

Agreed 100%

bouzebbal951d ago

oh wow you are brave to play all the episodes to realize that this series has nothing to offer.

I started with AC1 back in time for its stunning setup but it turned out to be the most boring game i have played in ages.
I bought AC2 to give it another chance and was the same piece of junk.. a little better but still bored me to death.
No more AC for me since the second one. I got enough...

breakpad951d ago

@ abzdiine totally agree ...all ACs are boring with zero substance and zero talent in their making

Conzul951d ago

lol that's about where I left off. Black Flag was good but too repetitive to finish the story.

Unity....eh, haven't touched it. AC these days has no soul, and takes absolutely no risks.

clouds5951d ago

I loved the freedom of the first one and the story line about ezio and altair which ultimately made me cry in AC Revelations. You were with those characters for their whole life basically and seeing it come to an end was something special.
After that nothing made sense anymore in AC. For me it's a textbook situation for what happens when you don't plan ahead. Until revelation the story was clearly worked out and made sense and had alot of mystery to it. Character arcs worked and made me feel etc. But starting with AC 3 it feels like they just stopped thinking and planning. First they kill off their character that ties everything together and make the back story non-existent. And now they just make stuff up as they go. Nothing about unity made me feel anything. It was just one big "meh" experience.
It feels like they solely rely on gameplay to carry the game and to be honest I'm kinda done with that gameplay. I'm still willing to play it but only if the story becomes interesting again.

YOU CAN WATCH THE TRAILER AND GAMEPLAY HERE: http://forums.ubi.com/showt...

Serously. The combat system is insanely cool. It has that fast flow of AC3.

genius950d ago (Edited 950d ago )

clouds5

i agree with you

the big issue annoying me in the series AFTER AC 3 is they don't have interesting story like the first one and the ezio parts .

ubisoft lately they just do copy and past with poor story and same bored elements .

vastolorde666951d ago

I want my unity refund back..Then I might watch a ubisoft trailer..

BallsEye951d ago (Edited 951d ago )

I think Japan with ninjas would give another life to series. I miss a good Tenchu. Anyway, If I wouldn't read the title, I could have mistaken it with a DLC for Unity. Was expecting a bit more. Give me full story in co-op and I'll be happy.

Galloping horse that rams through steel lamp posts making them fly cracked me up! GTH!

gedapeleda950d ago

It's too similar to unity, plus the horse mechanics look ridiculous even for alpha

Why is it october 23 for Xbox one and ps4 and only '' Autumn'' for the PC ?? no date yet for pc ? or

thunderbird86951d ago

This must be your first Assassin's Creed game.

Seafort951d ago

It's just the usual delay for any PC game from Ubisoft.

They couldn't give a crap about PC platform just like Microsoft.

Don't bother preordering the game until you know it's not a buggy piece of shit like last time.

MrCherry951d ago

That pic att he top of this page makes him look like Abraham- Linoln.

ZaWarudo951d ago

Okay. This may be the first Assassin's Creed game i buy since AC2.

Still gonna bargain bin it though, Ubi games drops in price rather quickly.

RosweeSon951d ago

Mainly as there's a new one out the following year and as this isn't FIFA and being on up to date isn't the be all end all I just waited and got black flag last month for £15, really enjoyed it at that price as well, think I'll be skipping unity heard nothing but bad things about it, don't release a game that is unplayable on day one its not acceptable in any way shape or form.

d_g951d ago

i like the new gameplay system

looks great
