Assassin's Creed Syndicate officially announced. Release date and setting revealed. Read the full transcript from the trailer.
Great setting. Looking forward to it. XXXD
looks like gangs of new york set in victorian london, im down for this, lets hope there are just not as many bugs as unity
Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/wat... Pre-Alpha Footage that will look much better then release day footage xD
Yep.. a Reskin of untiy with the only new thing is carriage driving -same bald big guys in the vid, i hate how they reuse character models. Oh and it looks like we are now web shooting spiderman .
Hey Ubisoft! Stop trying to milk the cow. It's been dead for years...
Ubisoft is not the problem, we are. Every time a new Assassin's Creed game is revealed it is greeted with hate and cynicism, as the months go by Ubisoft gets people gradually interested with some new bullshots and heavily scripted, polished up gameplay footage, then usually within a month from release Ubisoft release the story trailer and make it as epic as possible and everyone pre-orders it. Then after the game releases you hear all the same ol' sh*t about how it's just the same boring uninspired glitch-ridden game, then the following year the exact same thing happens and every release turns out to be major financial success, it's quite comical actually. "Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?".
Just don't buy it guys, you won't be missing much... it's really hard for me to get excited about Assassin's Creed anymore.
I'm definitely getting this, just no way am I preordering. That ship has sailed, Ubisoft.
@Carrot180994- Upon watching the gameplay reveal trailer with a buddy of mine, I mentioned the Gangs of New York similarities too.
Crosses Fingers before watching..."Please be good, please be good"....-14 min later- "Damn"
@Jalva Yes we are the problem here and always will be as long as we keep rewarding them (pre-orders/buying into their marketing hype)for screwing us over. I mean is there anyone out there who cant see Syndicate is blatant re-skin of Unity? (Disclaimer: didn't buy Unity nor will I and I wont buy another AC game until they take this franchise seriously again) Buy the way I cant recall a more memorable and fun, in twisted kind of way, bad guy in film or game in recent years, Vas was the man!
You should be ashamed of yourself if you are planning on buying this game. I expect this to be even worst than Unity.
Completed Ac, AC2, Brotherhood, Ac3 then played 3/4 of AC black flag and lost interest, the naval part was kinda cool for a while but it wasnt enuff to make me finish the game, skipped Unity because it was broken at launch and honestly was burned out on the AC game series, the new AC better be mind blowing and add a lot of innovations or i will simply ignore it like i did with Unity, im just tired to see Ubisoft regurgitate AC each years.
Same exact timeline for myself. Agreed 100%
oh wow you are brave to play all the episodes to realize that this series has nothing to offer. I started with AC1 back in time for its stunning setup but it turned out to be the most boring game i have played in ages. I bought AC2 to give it another chance and was the same piece of junk.. a little better but still bored me to death. No more AC for me since the second one. I got enough...
@ abzdiine totally agree ...all ACs are boring with zero substance and zero talent in their making
lol that's about where I left off. Black Flag was good but too repetitive to finish the story. Unity....eh, haven't touched it. AC these days has no soul, and takes absolutely no risks.
I loved the freedom of the first one and the story line about ezio and altair which ultimately made me cry in AC Revelations. You were with those characters for their whole life basically and seeing it come to an end was something special. After that nothing made sense anymore in AC. For me it's a textbook situation for what happens when you don't plan ahead. Until revelation the story was clearly worked out and made sense and had alot of mystery to it. Character arcs worked and made me feel etc. But starting with AC 3 it feels like they just stopped thinking and planning. First they kill off their character that ties everything together and make the back story non-existent. And now they just make stuff up as they go. Nothing about unity made me feel anything. It was just one big "meh" experience. It feels like they solely rely on gameplay to carry the game and to be honest I'm kinda done with that gameplay. I'm still willing to play it but only if the story becomes interesting again.
YOU CAN WATCH THE TRAILER AND GAMEPLAY HERE: http://forums.ubi.com/showt... Serously. The combat system is insanely cool. It has that fast flow of AC3.
clouds5 i agree with you the big issue annoying me in the series AFTER AC 3 is they don't have interesting story like the first one and the ezio parts . ubisoft lately they just do copy and past with poor story and same bored elements .
I want my unity refund back..Then I might watch a ubisoft trailer..
I think Japan with ninjas would give another life to series. I miss a good Tenchu. Anyway, If I wouldn't read the title, I could have mistaken it with a DLC for Unity. Was expecting a bit more. Give me full story in co-op and I'll be happy. Galloping horse that rams through steel lamp posts making them fly cracked me up! GTH!
It's too similar to unity, plus the horse mechanics look ridiculous even for alpha
Why is it october 23 for Xbox one and ps4 and only '' Autumn'' for the PC ?? no date yet for pc ? or
It's just the usual delay for any PC game from Ubisoft. They couldn't give a crap about PC platform just like Microsoft. Don't bother preordering the game until you know it's not a buggy piece of shit like last time.
That pic att he top of this page makes him look like Abraham- Linoln.
Okay. This may be the first Assassin's Creed game i buy since AC2. Still gonna bargain bin it though, Ubi games drops in price rather quickly.
Mainly as there's a new one out the following year and as this isn't FIFA and being on up to date isn't the be all end all I just waited and got black flag last month for £15, really enjoyed it at that price as well, think I'll be skipping unity heard nothing but bad things about it, don't release a game that is unplayable on day one its not acceptable in any way shape or form.
i like the new gameplay system looks great
You forgot something! Here, take this - /s
Didn't unity come out at the end of last year? Why are they releasing a new one when they haven't fixed the old one?
Making them those moneyz every year,.. maybe this time they could sort out the bugs/ performance
its not the same team.. at least not people
Unity runs fine. It didn't at launch but now it does.
Not really the point though is it.
I still wouldn't say it "runs fine". It is fairly bug free but it still has frame rate issues
Framerate in Unity does dip in places but it's not game breaking. I put a good number of hours in to it and only came across 1 or 2 bugs which again weren't game breakers. I enjoyed the game but I think the series needs an overhaul. This just looks exactly the same as Unity but with a grappling gun and set in a different city. And they need to stop removing things/abilities that were in previous games!!
"Unity runs fine" - no, it still doesnt, the game as more bugs the a rotting decomposing corpse underground
Multiple dev teams working on mutliple AC games. If I'm not mistaken this is by the team that did black flag. Unity wasn't done by the black flag team. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm positive that's what I've read.
In that case I am actually starting to get excited. I loved Black Flag...combine that with Unity's graphics and a better framerate and I'm sold.
Assassin's Creed is Ubisoft's biggest franchise and it's also the one they chuck all their main studios at. Meaning, this game was in development even before Unity was first announced. Since Ubisoft is refusing to cease their annual releases, and that every second game is the better, I am somewhat looking forward to this one. Unity was a huge disappointment.
because this generation of gamers are stupid and buys into everything. that why we have paid dlc and subscription p2p online
This is the worst milking i have ever seen... One game a year is bad but AC Unity and AC Rouge were both released last year, within about a month of each other!
Someone already stated this but, not the same team. This team worked on AC IV and has been making this game since before Unity was announced... Same publisher, different team and to my understanding the patches corrected most of that game from what I've heard.
bug central baby
oh my god I saw their gameplay live streaming and the game is very Similar to unity with change of color and cloths oh man I sick of it and sick of Ubisoft not very good and nothing interesting at the new Assassin's DAMN!!!!!!!!!! every year release with drop in quality at same price wow
Assassins Creed: Bug Day One DLC Edition is what I read in the title. Jokes aside, Ubisoft better not f**k up this time. And the reviewers need to mention the bugs in their reviews and not avoid it like they did with Unity
Horses destroying streetlamps in their way lol
they are mustangs man
If they were manufactured by Ford that would make sense.
Looks good and a lot of fun, but they lost me with there statement about ac unity. Not delaying a unfinished game because it would impact future titles line..... Show's how much ubisoft cares about delivering people a complete well made game.
So hopefully they got rid of Co-op...that was Unity's downfall in my opinion. Created too many bugs in the time frame. EDIT Oh maybe they learnt their lesson "Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is an epic single player experience set in London during the height of the Industrial Revolution"
This gives me a lot of hope for increased performance.
Hopefully it's good and doesn't have bugs. I like the setting
Looking forward to this. At least whistling is back in this game so far.
Looks like an Assassin's Creed game...
lol. same as allways. nothing to see here :D
Sighs, looking like another unoptimized buggy piece of crap.
Would be cool if they added A little of the Nemesis System to the AI .
Meh..boring games are boring games imo. I thought that SoM was boring as well. I think it was somehow more repetitive than AC (a hard feat to pull off). Ex. Let me go kill this hundredth horde of orcs with executions that stopped looking cool after the first hour.
Nothing Original Here. They took from GTA, Batman and Shadow of Mordor...
dont forget to preorder now. lol
Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice stupidity. After Flopdogs and AC Scrutiny, Screwbisoft can suck it. They just publicly admitted that the knew Unity was a broken mess but still released it. You may not agree with me but thats the truth.
I am the only one who thinks its same game as unity with few added features and different skin?
when i saw the trailer i thought its a new DLC for ac unity. they seems not add that much to the new game . copy & paste with some features = Assassin's Creed Syndicate
I am AGREE with you 110% it is the same game but they changed the colors to be more dark and gloomy but the game is same with pretty tiny change,my opinion this game doesn't deserve full price after what I saw it is not good enough for me and all players we deserve more..
@Madworld- " but the game is same with pretty tiny change" LMFAO! In different time period, different city and 30% larger..... You sure bud? The slowness is real on N4G.
you want to tell me that, the game is so much deference then Unity well are sure,,you know what kill and bather me is people like you any small change make them say that is almost new game like what happened here, with all due respect I will not act like some stupid fans boy no I'm just reasonable person .the game doesn't match up with my wishes I am honest player and if you like it that much well go head no one cares, and to be clear Ubisoft doesn't respect their fans just what they did copy and post and I am very DAMN sure we deserve much more especially loyalty fans like me I never escaped any game of this franchise.
Were there massive differences between Uncharted 1 to Uncharted 2 to Uncharted 3? No, not really at all. I'm not really calling out Uncharted, it's one of my favorite series and all game series are the same way. Minor tweaks on a basic formula. I'm not sure yet if I will get this game because I'm getting a bit burnt out on the series, but I honestly can't say that it isn't changing. Most of the games in the series have had some pretty big differences. Of course there are some core things that don't change, but that's what makes it ONE SERIES and not a bunch of random different games.
