The reveal of Star Wars: Battlefront probably left fans with more questions than answers, and the game’s developers answered some today.
Yes! Gameplay is what I need to see! If there was a beta then that would be sweet too! After all the announcements of things being different (and it being published by ea) I have been worried but I do want it to be a good game. So despite all the negatives, I'm ready for them to show that they've made a decent game here.
Funny you say that..I was talking with a friend of mine who is a huge of battlefront, and I mentioned to him that with all these changes and developer creativities, that he and everyone else will end up wishing that battlefront had been just a reskinned battlefield.
I can't really see that tbh. Whether it plays like the old games or whether it's brand new, I personally think it's better than a reskinning even if the new gameplay sucks. Not that battlefield is bad (never played it), but if I wanted to play battlefield I'd just buy it. I have a feeling a lot of people are thinking like that.
The reveal of Star Wars: Battlefront probably left fans with more questions than answers, and the game’s developers answered some today. Community Manager Mathew Everett confirmed a few vehicles that will be playable in the game: 6.) Can you name a vehicle that can be piloted other than the AT-ST? Snow speeders, Speeder bike and more. 7.) Can you name a ship that can be piloted other than X-Wings and Tie-Fighters? Millennium Falcon and more. He also was asked how starships handle compared to Battlefield games, and looks like there are good news for those who found flight difficult in DICE’s modern combat series. A lot easier to fly. Very Padawan friendly. We will go into more details on what makes them Padawan friendly and Jedi master-able (is that even a word?). Everett then gave a bit more precise indication on when we’ll finally see actual gameplay. I guess “near future” is better than what we got so far. Near future. But keep an eye on our channels for announcements. Finally, Design Director Niklas Fegraeus also clarified that the lack of iron sights on certain weapons will not affect aim down sights gameplay, as it’s just cosmetic. "Just to clarify, in #SWBattlefront, missing iron sights on certain weapons will have no effect on ADS gameplay. It's just a visual thing." Finally some facts to get rid of the sensationalistic trash journalism articles. I wonder what will be complained about now.
There's always something to complain about XD In reality you can't please everyone so the devs have just gotta go with their vision. If people don't like it, then don't buy it. Seems like the devs are being pretty open anout what their up to and like I said, gameplay will be very welcome.
As in June 15th near future?
Don't know why everyone is in such a hurry to see gameplay, the game is still more than 6 months away from release.
We are in a hurry because apparently at 2 closed door events game play was shown which 'blew away' the people in attendance. So far all the public has seen is a prerendered CGI movie. We are all anxious to see this mind blowing game play we have all heard so much about.
That wasn't cgi, that was all running in engine, and has been confirmed by Star Wars HQ as damn near exact to gameplay they saw at dice studios.
It was a Computer Generated Image. It was still a prerendered movie regardless if it used engine assets or not. No one was using a controller off screen while the video was being recorded. It was entirely scripted.
Near Future = E3 surely
Why can't they just say E3? Why is everything so vague and secretive?
