Castlevania spiritual successor “Bloodstained” a possibility for Nintendo systems

Castlevania has a long-standing history on Nintendo platforms. So the hope was that the next game from Koji Igarashi, one of the series’ main creator, would end up on a Nintendo system.
Igarashi finally announced “Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night” today in partnership with Inti Creates after several days of teasing. The current plan is only to make the project for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, a Nintendo version hasn’t been ruled out entirely.

Sales would not justify a WiiU version.

The majority of the Castlevania series gained its fame and success riding on the back of Nintendo fans.
This is one game that WOULD sell on the Wii U.

We could let them come over our house and watch us play? Levity aside, the NX will launch before release.

to me this game with side scrolling would be more fit for 3DS. Castlevania and nintendo handhelds is a long love story!

I will have this on PS4 if it gets completed... I doubt its coming to wii u though it would be nice to have the map on the gamepad

I feel same way, but I will wait, he may change his mind, I just dont like to buy a game twice, so if I wait and they never bring it I will still be okay because I will get the game cheaper on ps4 since it will be old by then

I think one of the main reasons why we don't see a Wii U version of this game is because they probably couldn't reach an agreement with Nintendo over a boxed console copy. To my understanding this is entirely new thing that's never been tried on kickstarter, actual boxed console versions. That's the only thing I can think of, besides the whole justifying the means argument.

Shame that the reasons given for not having a Wii U version right away don't make sense.
There had better be a stretch goal for it; a lot of Castlevania fans started and ended their time with the series on Nintendo consoles, so any spiritual successor to it would see good sales from those fans on the Wii U.
