GamesRadar's E3 2008 Awards

Another year, another grueling E3 experience for all involved. As press, GamesRadar have to be in constant motion, reading, writing and presenting all the information that's blasted at their eyes and ears. As readers, you're tasked with digesting an ocean of content in 72 constantly updated hours. It's a hell of a ride and GamesRadar are glad to be at the end, especially given the rather dismal nature of this year's show.

Instead of wasting your weekend on numerous sites in an effort to discern the best, worst and terribly awful moments of the show, you can check this one catchall list that GamesRadar spent a disturbingly long time debating.

That whole article was total garbage, what kind of journalism was that?

Microsoft wins again!

Also Final Fantasy 13 on the 360 is the greatest E3 moment ever!

Same trailer different day....

G4TV gave Gots to Little Big Planet, 1up gave Gots to Little Big Planet. Lets wait for some more sites to see who won it. From reading these stupid awards half of them are just plain silly and the other half are making it seem like the 360 had a god showing. They had a suprise announcement but all there big games are multiplat with the exception of Gears 2. I think we are seeing a Decline for 360 and it can be shown by this E3. By the time ff13 comes out Sony will have surpassed 360 and have a much larger install base.

"G4TV gave Gots to Little Big Planet, 1up gave Gots to Little Big Planet..."

Honestly, as graphically-fabulous as the game looks, I just don't get all they hype; I really don't see it standing up to the likes of R2 or KZ2.

What I mean is, to give it the title, "Game of the Show"...well, y'kow: Dems a lot of BIG shoes to fill!

I could see me doodling with it for a while, and ultimately getting bored relatively quickly.

Am I missing something about this game???

The Lazy One5753d ago

takes a lot of getting used to. It's a lot harder to control than it looks like in all the demos. If you watch the demo on G4, you'll notice adam and morgan have no idea wtf their doing 2/3s of the time.

I played it 2 weeks ago, and it wasn't much different. Except we didn't have a designer there to show us how it was after you learn to play it well.

Captain Tuttle5753d ago

Give me KZ2 over LBP any day of the week.

Tales Of Graces Ƒ Retro Review – Holding Out For a Hero

Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil4d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai3d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing693d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle3d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal3d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa3d ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

*As per Wikipedia

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
