The software team at Microsoft is working quite hard on the Xbox One system software, and today they released the third update in three days.
Great Job software team , keep up the great work. @monochromer Standby mode Eliminates all that , give it a try.
well said. the team really has been doing an awesome job. i think there will be a major update announced at E3 ,they are slowly preparing the console for the arrival of windows10 and dx12
I love how you're getting 'so many' disagrees, despite everyone knowing that this is exactly what is going on. Windows 10 and DirectX 12 are coming, and that seems to frighten people for some reason... Not sure why someone would be anything other than excited. I for one can't wait. And being a preview member never looked better, as we'll get the update a month early. :D
@Redbutterfly lol. trolls will always be trolls. sometimes it's best to just ignore them bitter fanboys and a thousand disagrees wont change the awesome work the update team has and will continue to do.
You're surprised that someone who has "To hell with Sony hope they fold and soon. (Don't like my status Pound sand" in their profile is getting disagrees when making PR-like blind praise of Microsoft? @TheRedButterfly Nobody is "frightened" by DX12 and Windows 10, the vast majority of console gamers consider them irrelevant or not interesting. They are marking disagrees to an anti-Sony poster who has made it clear exactly what they are. Sad how the personal attacks come out when people hit the disagree button.
@wegetsignalx You must be a very silly desperate troll to result to throwing false accusations around. You guys have actually become so pathetic. next time while posting such crap, maybe you could also put up the link to back up your childish claims. smh @Red Don't even bother responding to this kid.
This team is doing an amazing job. Color me impressed.
I'm pretty tired of not being able to use my console without updating every single day.
Then leave the preview program!? Its kind of the point of being in the preview program to test parts of the update like this.
they are not mandatory are they?
1. They update while they console is off 2. You don't have to update it 3. Go away
@monochromer You're complaining just for the sake of it. There are other ways to get people to listen to you. Perhaps you could say something informative or positive.
@Mono If you didn't know you could leave the preview program or set your system not to automatically update then either you are completely disingenuous or you don't own an X1 in the first place. If you do then you don't deserve to. There is no way you could sign up for the program and be that oblivious.
oops replied to wrong person
Beta Tested in the future..
MS are onto it. The level of support for this console is awesome.
60fps video clip captures enabled! Looking forward to full Windows 10 integration, TV DVR functionality and the Windows App store.
I wish they'd find an update that stops my controller disconnecting all the time. Tried everything but unless I connect it with a wire it's awful.
Have you gone to settings and updated the controller itself? Needs to be plugged in to update it. If u have done that an still have issues id say maybe you have a faulty controller.
Nope, 3 controllers all the same..
That's weird, mine literally never disconnects unless it's about to die.
LOL... That was fixed forever ago. Plug controller into console with USB cable, update controller. Not only that, but you will also notice that the controller syncs much fast when powering on from a standby state.
"LOL... That was fixed forever ago". Not in my house it hasn't.. Of course I've updated the controller, lucky i have the cable or i wouldn't be able to play. I have tried 3 controllers, even borrowed a friends & even took the console to a friends & its the same. Its terrible, I have sent console back as they said it was the console but got it back & its the same. I'm out of idea's. I'm not the only one...Massive 160 pages so far on MS forum..
Had the same issue but only when using my Astro A50s with the chat cable connected. Turns out the chat cable was faulty. I bought the turtle beach ps4 chat cable and all is fine now.
This is a genuine complaint, I too have my controller switching off at some point during every play session. Some times it disconnects but then reconnects a few seconds later, and sometimes it turns off and I have to turn it back on. I assumed it was something to do with the battery pack disconnecting for a second, so replaced my playncharge kit, same thing, relaced my controller, same thing. I don't know whats going wrong but somethings not right. Ps. I am a hardcore Xbox One defender...
Welcolme to my world mate. You get disagrees on here because for some strange reason your not allowed to have a problem. My console was returned to Microsoft because they said it was a wireless problem inside the console, but they didn't fix it. There's a really good page, or 100 of them on the Xbox forum but nobody has fixed the issue yet. A lot of folk have sent the console back & done the replacement version where they actually send you a different console back & that's sorted it out, but a lot like myself who didn't want to add $350 to my credit card, who just sent our console to be fixed get sent our own one back still not fixed. My controller will flash & just disconnect then reconnect again but when your playing online it's no good. I just play with the cable in now which is fine, but it's not good that I can't use it wireless... How far is your router from your console ? Also are you Ethernet or wireless for online ? And have you got 5g & 2g on your router ? Maybe we can find how to fix it as bloody Microsoft don't have a clue...
Sony has some catching up to do... For rizzle my nizzle...
How is that? If I'm right, besides media, Sony has been delivering well in terms of game features. Remote play being the best hands down. Being able to play my PS4 400 miles away while I'm on a road trip is downright awesome.
What about having a formal preview program that anyone can join? What about additional privacy features? What about double-tap to snap for achievements, friends, messages, gaming friend feeds, GameDVR, etc? What about saving achievement pictures to the background? What about suggested gaming friends? What about Game Hubs? What about the Windows 10 app for Xbox One? What about the full featured IE browser? What about giving gamers reward points for participating in preview features and surveys? What about being able to hide games that you don't want to see? What about support for EA access? What about MKV support?
@NeoGamer I appreciate you informing me about a lot of the other features that I can use outside of using the Xbox One for gaming. But what I meant from my comment was that I don't see how Sony needs catching up to do, especially in terms of gaming features (since I obviously bought a PS4 to play games). But if hiding your games and having internet explorer, along with the rest of the stuff you listed is your cup of tea, well to each his own.
I would think MS need to catch up. I got my PC for media and stuff like that my console is for gaming only. Shareplay and remote play, come on MS hurry up.
i can shareplay with my friends on xb1 and there is not a time limit to it, only thing i can't do is let them play for me, but i really don't care about that and remote play is coming and will be better...
Will be better? Should be considering Remote play on PS4 is more than a year old now.
@krypt1983 Game streaming from your console is a great feature for gaming in general. It's cool that the Xbox is getting it soon. But unfortunately they're already far behind before they've even released it. As of now it only works on local networks. Remote play on the PS4 works well beyond the boundaries of your home wi-fi network and streams up to 720p/60fps (which should be amazing to many since according to a lot of people on this site, that's considered HD gaming on the console of their choice).
Lol indeed they do fo sho.
Both consoles have features and options not available on the other one. Neither have "catching up to do". PS4 just launched a huge 2.50 firmware update.
I love unfettered access to ALL Twitch not just xbox or Sony games... and its quick like sudden onset Cupid Love. :)
You can do that on PS4 twitch.
If you gave not tried twitch ob xbox one you should... it is seriously miles ahead of the ps4. I love my ps4 but I really like some parts of the Xbox one better and Twitch is one part that is better on xb1.
According to phil next couple of updates supposed to be interesting, update this morn was a little over 2gb
Rumor has it that we're suppose to beta test win 10 but who knows
Your not getting Windows 10 on it that would turn it into a PC and Microsoft would loose control over it.
Actually, Spencer has said the Xbox OS is going to be switched over to Windows 10. It will be the Xbox UI but the OS core will be 100% Windows 10. This is part of MS' commitment to developers to be able to develop once for both X1 and PC without having to change the core code.
I'm still trying to connect my 2&1 pc to my Xbox. Says connecting but something goes wrong.
I've long had a theory that most of those who naysay "Ms" aren't very technically inclined. I think those who reject "Ms" can't figure out how the wHOLE process works thus causing stupid Fing problems such as you seem to be having... I think that might be where the problem "lies". FYI, I think it would be easier if you stopped desiring it not to work for that you can have something to complain about. "#FACT!" Edit: I just had a thought about when I started thinking Ms naysayers aren't very technically inclined... I think it may have started with the "Ms anti-trust" issues that also involved a common Sony SPIN tactic where that Ms naysayers claim they have in mind what is best for the people (or gamers). As if people needed all that drama and money spent because it was somehow unfair that people had to spend 30 seconds to download any browser of their choice with Internet Explorer. As if gamers are better now that many (most?) are buying games digitally and now can't share them with 10 people. Why didn't anyone think maybe Sony has a greedy evil agenda to help ensure that Blu-Ray is more commonly used in the future by forcing discs that they profit from? <- I don't really think that is true; however, it could be just as plausible for stirring BS drama as the Negative Nancy articles against Ms... such as about how The Witcher 3 PC version can't ever been shown anywhere using a controller without it being stated that it is not running on a Xbox... it just looks that way to the ignor(e)ant because it uses Xbox style prompts when used with a controller that will be even more common in the future as "Xbox Platform" is more PC based. @DEEBO, actually, the XO is much more advanced being that it is the most advanced mass marketed virtualization based platform in the world... that's not the only way it is more advanced either... Universal Windows Apps and DX12 are more important and advanced than you seem to think, as is Kinect with inevitable future Cortana integration, such as with XO and home automation for telling XO, "Cortana, set thermostat"; "Cortanta, display front door\driveway\baby room CAM"; "Cortanta, alert me when motion is detected in driveway", etc. thus FAR more advanced than what you're implying with the comment, "it's just a console" (though that is true about PS4). Ms naysayers generally don't see the big picture (maybe because they're too worried about the size of their Ps); for example, people complain as if Ms deceived people because they didn't release Milo... as if Ms should have released a little boy to emotionally play with rather than focus on Cortana... at least half of everything people naysay about Microsoft is absurd in ways such as that. At the rate of XO improvement, PS4 is going to look last gen by next year, unless Morpheus is the hot new thing (I like the way Sony designed it so that the visor flips up... I think that may be a must have feature for all such devices).
How about the it's just not working right. Stop acting like the Xbox one is some super technology it's just a console system. Sigh don't get all emotional man sometimes things don't work like they should and MS track record isn't the best.
Your post is a giant personal attack. It is not consumers fault if they reject Microsoft products, it is their problem. That is why they had to bring back the start menu to Windows 10, and so many 180s on the XB1's initial policies. Both consoles have features and options not available on the other one. Neither have "catching up to do". Neither is ahead of the other one. PS4 just launched a huge 2.50 firmware update.
If anyone could invite me to the preview program, I'd gladly appreciate it :D Gamertag: xPlasmaWolfx
