Comcept’s Keiji Inafune appeared at the Tokyo Indie Fest to demonstrate new footage from Mighty No. 9.
I don't know about you guys but i'm not impressed..
Looks good to me, you do know it is meant to be the spiritual successor to Megaman right? Because it seems pretty much exactly that, not sure what you are expecting. To each their own. It was a pretty boring presentation of the game, but the game itself looked pretty solid IMO.
same here. looks beyond bland but im still hopeful
I want to point out that the interviewer (ManvsGame) actually knows Japanese, that's why you see him nodding all the time.
I'm excited! :)
I'll get this on my mature system, the PS4. I don't even see why would they put this game on a kiddy casual system, the Wii U
I don't see a real reason why you are a close minded, ignorant, troll but you are so I guess they are out to spit you.
Do you own a Wii U lol? My PS4 is basically a midrange Pc
I own all the systems because I don't like falling into a close minded fanboy mindset and deny myself of experience every game that interests me....clearly unlike you.
Really? THIS is the best they can do? I've seen android/ios games with a 10th of the budget, and with only a handful of people showcase more competent gameplay. Remember when the concept art came out for the game, and it looked like this: http://static.giantbomb.com... What happened? It looks incredibly bland. And the guy doing the interview having to say, "cool!" about the prospect of dashing while in midair, as if that's an incredible feat to accomplish within the game's engine. I love Mega Man, so I truly want this one to be good. But every video that comes out makes my stomach churn.
I dont see how its bland. Also figure out the people working on the project. Stop judging a game before its out. Makes you look stupid.
That's precisely WHY I am annoyed. It's Keiji Inafune...On a near 4 million dollar budget. Expectations should be high. And you are right. It is stupid to judge a game before having the chance to play it, but that doesn't prevent me from having doubts.
You do realize that games never look like the really polished concept art, right? Game looks great and if it gives me some Mega Man love then great! I just want to know when this is suppose to come out...it's been forever I feel.
Ori and the Blind Forest, Braid, Limbo, Child of Light, Rayman Legends/Origins and so on have matched, even surpassed their heavily doctored up designs. This game, considering the talent involved, should be able to do the same thing. EDIT: Hell, look at a game like Leo's Fortune, that game is like living, breathing concept art. And the concept art for THIS game seemed similar in shallow depth of field, and intricately lit level set ups
@RustedMan I played this game on Tokyo Indie Fest and it's amazing. The level design it's High Quality and the gameplay is rock solid. I don't understand what are you criticizing here. Also don't understand the concept art argument or Braid and Limbo comparations. Also played this games and that's why I don't understand your point. Mighth No.9 is also a indie game. That's why they asked for funding on kickstarter. Mr. Ken and its team are talented but doesn't mean they are much better that other unknown indie developers. Anyway, I loved the game 😄
I want this to be good. For megamans sake
Well, it certainly is run and gun. But with the funds they got from KS, it really should have turned out a little more refreshing.
i Gave up on this game when they traded the original 2D art style for this new Dull3D one.
When did this happen? I haven't been following the game closely for a while now. Just saw the video. Don't like the 3D very much either.
As soon as I'm aware that I can buy this, it will be bought.
