Double packs are not often looked upon too kindly by the self-proclaimed 'hardcore' sects of the gaming crowd. Largely this is due to suspicion in the form of, 'If these games are any good, why not release them separately?'

Cynical that line of thinking may be, but it's wholly understandable considering the price of a videogame compared to other entertainment mediums. People want quality from each purchase, and bundling two games in one doesn't typically demonstrate that a publisher has full confidence in its product(s).
