The upcoming Star Wars multiplayer shooter will break from previous DICE titles and ditch Classes and Squads in favour of XP and "Partners"
So what exactly IS in this game?
Another Cocky Doody Reskin by EA with less content than the previous game.
I mean dice is developing so how come we cant blame the developers instead of always blaming the publisher. lol
@700p Because the publisher dictates what goes into the game because EA funds the project
No classes is weird but no squads? This game is about temawork and winning what are essentially giant battles. Removing squads removes the idea of teamwork and will result in a terrible culmination of one man teams. Just lost a lot of hope in this game.
Laser guns PEW PEW, vehicles, maps, and....uh....hmmm.... Meesa thinks we in trouble.
"Meesa thinks wesa in trubal" L2JarJar!
By "“freely pick their weapons and gear" I'm guessing they most likely mean pick any weapon for your loadout, pick your mod and pick your abilities or whatever. In the end it's going to make people rely on what powerful weapons/gear they've unlocked rather then actual skill. A problem which we find in most online games today What they are trying to sugar coat sounds like what we have seen in almost every other multiplayer such as COD. There was a system already in place for this franchise...why change it. Like I've said they would have been better off making a new Star Wars IP because it's become apparent this is not Battlefront.
They are clearly trying as hard as they can to tell haters like you that this is NOT Battlefield so don't expect it. This is a reboot and remake of Battlefront.
I see no hate here, just opinions.
Calling it a reboot - FFS, it's a massive multiplayer shooter with a pre-established background story...how do you "reboot" that? - does not excuse cutting so many corners and changing basic features of the series.
Just a cash in on the franchise and movie. Nothing more.
Don't forget EA has a 10 year deal with Disney to make Star Wars games. They already have Visceral Games and Bioware working on separate Star Wars projects in addition to DICE with Battlefront 3. DICE is probably cutting some stuff out of Battlefront 3 so EA can hype up future projects made by the other 2 studios. DICE didn't even bother using a new frostbite engine for Battlefront 3, it is still using frostbite 3 from BF4 which is 2 years old.
What else? Microtransactions, missing features as dlc and a $50 premium.
Battleflop? Hopefully not, but time will tell.
Unfortunately whether it sucks or not with the star wars name attached it will far from flop
Boo. I don't approve
I'm glad they are not ripping features directly from Battfield. Battlefront will be great, Mirrors Edge was great and so are all the Battlefield games, DICE are a very talented bunch and I cant wait to play this later in the year.
Said no one
Yeah. Hahaha. Said no one. Oh....wait.... Battlefield is one of the most popular shooters in the industry. It has a gigantic following. I guess people have said that then, huh? Its one thing to have an opinion. There's nothing wrong with that. But making comments like that just make you look like a blind hater that doesn't care about the facts. Guess what? I don't like CoD. But i would never be so ignorant as to pretend it doesn't have a huge following, is insanely popular, and has literally millions of fans that love it.
No campaign and no Space combat means I wont be picking this one up.
It's just another Battlefield game then...
No classes, and No squad system... Yep... sounds JUST like Battlefield... /s
How is it that even when they announce things that are totally different from Battlefield, like no classes or squads, there are still people that use that to say its like Battlefield?
I hope it turns out good. I really want this game to be great!
Holy crap, even CoD this year sounds like a better package all together than this game! At least that has classes, also a campaign & lets not forget zombies! You can't even bring up CoD's $50 Season Pass seeing as you know the same thing will happen with this game! If it weren't for the Star Wars name I would say Black Ops 3 is the definite shooter this holiday & I'd never thought I'd say that! Yes, I'm a CoD hater, I think it's stale as f*ck! This year however looks like it has a chance to be promising.
This game keeps showing me more and more red flags which is so unfortunate since I've been waiting 10 years for a new Battlefront.
So we knock game companies for churning out the same game over and over again, and we knock them for trying new things or moving away form established formulas. I feel sorry for devs... people will complain about anything.
Removing standard features and "trying new things" are hardly the same thing.
Great news may make things a bit more even hoping weapon unlocks don't favour the devoted players , the time poor get shafted online these days .
the more news that comes out the more im disappointed
No classes is a good thing. Partners only in a large war based game is an awful thing.
- No Space battles - No Single player campaign - No Classes - 20 players each team - AT-AT on rails - 7-8 Vehicles - No squads - Half a game at launch And !!!!NO FREAKING IRON SIGHTS!!! this game is going to be SOOO retarded jetpack bunny hopping with no aiming, lego star wars sounds Way more fun! its like each day they remove a Great feature that everybody loves and people still defending the game because its trade mark is star wars.
Why am i only reading what isnt in this game. What the hell do they want me to buy in November?????
